Uh, slow down bud. You got some revisionist history going there. That article you mentioned was in no way affiliated with Apple. That was some jackass manipulating stats to further his narrative. Apple had nothing to do with those shenanigans. I remember that article well. That guy shut down the comment section on his article because people, especially Apple fans, were handing him his ass in hat for fudging numbers when he didn't even have to do it. That guy seemed like a fanboi who got a little too caught up, but that had nothing to do with Apple and their marketing.
what the heck are you talking about
the guy said Apple is a broader company. i corrected him. you decided to quote my correction and say they are smaller in reputation and that you personally hate Samsung
this is definition trolling
So wait, Samsung invented the larger screen? You dont invent something like that, you simply make the screen bigger...
It was funnier and I think a little more good-natured though.
I think it is. I love the Note series AND I love Macs. But I can't see any reason to migrate to the iOS world. It's just boring. You always get some hardware improvement later when dealing with iPhones.
"Now with GPS" -- when Nokia provided offline Maps a couple of years before.
"Now with a barometer" -- when Samsung provided a barometer 3 years before
"Now with Wi-Fi AP" -- when Nokia offered the same years before
Ok, Apple launched TouchID... what an exciting feature
I really wanted having a good reason for my next phone being an iPhone. Sadly, it won't be this year. It's basically a bigger and faster iPhone 5. No, thanks.
Re-watch all Apple keynotes from 2007. I'm not quoting an article. Just what Steve Jobs said/did.
There's more to a phone than the specs. There's how it integrates into your life and how it integrates with your other devices.
I'm glad Apple doesn't have to stoop this low in order to make their products look better.
I don't care how it integrates with my other devices. I don't buy the ecosystem argument. It's like accepting another player to build a monopoly. I don't have any problem running Windows on my MacMini, having a Samsung phone and running OSX on my Macbook. It's even funnier than being stuck on a single platform.
I dislike when a company has to resort to making others look bad to sell product.... I'd rather they emphasize their own strengths than others weaknesses
Exactly! That's why I love Apple.
Come on bud. Where in the 2007 keynote did Steve Jobs mention the iPad?
You're confusing yourself. You're mixing iOS and OSX interchangeably and somehow comparing OSX to Android.Steve Jobs didn't do any of what's in your quote:
"... Fast forward to the iPad. Steve Jobs said it was to fill the gap between phone and computer. It was never counted into Apple's marketshare of computers because, welll, it was a tablet. Then, when it suited Apple, they said a year later that OSX marketshare was top in the world. But, that is simply not true. Even if you did count all Apple "OSX" devices, it still doesn't come on top of Android. But, if you watch closely, they compare all OSX devices to just Microsoft PCs. So they took mobile statistics, and then started a comparison to all Windows PCs. How clever. And the media ate it up." - AppLovr
What's in your quote did happen a few months ago. The article was featured on MR. I think you just misremembered (I know that's not a real word).
And, you know, the entire smartphone revolution thing.
There's a difference. Apple pay will actually work.
I can make a device and throw in 50 amazing features ....but if that's all I do, was it worth it?
The week after the announcement I got an email from my capital one card that apple pay will work next month . Apple is not just a noun, they are a verb. Not just implementing , but executing.
Big difference
