Uh, slow down bud. You got some revisionist history going there. That article you mentioned was in no way affiliated with Apple. That was some jackass manipulating stats to further his narrative. Apple had nothing to do with those shenanigans. I remember that article well. That guy shut down the comment section on his article because people, especially Apple fans, were handing him his ass in hat for fudging numbers when he didn't even have to do it. That guy seemed like a fanboi who got a little too caught up, but that had nothing to do with Apple and their marketing.

Re-watch all Apple keynotes from 2007. I'm not quoting an article. Just what Steve Jobs said/did.

what the heck are you talking about

the guy said Apple is a broader company. i corrected him. you decided to quote my correction and say they are smaller in reputation and that you personally hate Samsung

this is definition trolling

It made my brow furrow too when I read it.

Apple must be so happy they don't have to spend so much on Online advertisement since Samesung is doing it for them. Not sure if Samesung realise it but they just showing themselves as cry babies. What I don't understand with them that they haven't no shame not once if I'm not wrong Apple has retaliate with a counter advert, this should tell them that their Ad is not working and only giving people more reason to go to Apple as this only show Samsung fears and worries about their own market.

Good luck Samesung, you lost your crown in your own country, losing sales, losing market share, losing faith in your products, silly adverts and thus you will undoubtedly fail.
Keep an eye out on the iPhone 6 plus and compare it with your Samesung Note 4 sales since your the king of Phablet it shouldn't be no problem beating Apple.

I think it is. I love the Note series AND I love Macs. But I can't see any reason to migrate to the iOS world. It's just boring. You always get some hardware improvement later when dealing with iPhones.

"Now with GPS" -- when Nokia provided offline Maps a couple of years before.
"Now with a barometer" -- when Samsung provided a barometer 3 years before
"Now with Wi-Fi AP" -- when Nokia offered the same years before

Ok, Apple launched TouchID... what an exciting feature :(

I really wanted having a good reason for my next phone being an iPhone. Sadly, it won't be this year. It's basically a bigger and faster iPhone 5. No, thanks.

I’m not sure if you’ve tried iOS or not, it may not seem like the OS you need but it really is very good and worth a shot. The whole experience is pretty fluid. Sure there are things you’ll lose, (and some you’ll gain).
I’d have bought the 6 but it just looked boring. I still want to see how they manage the screen protector thing with all those curves too.

Patience.

1 or 2 years more and Samsung will be where they deserve to be. An average Phone maker among others, overtaken by LG, Lenovo, maybe Sony, etc, and in emerging markets like China and India totally crushed by Huawei, Xiaomi, etc. And Apple of course.

Come on bud. Where in the 2007 keynote did Steve Jobs mention the iPad?

You're confusing yourself. You're mixing iOS and OSX interchangeably and somehow comparing OSX to Android. Steve Jobs didn't do any of what's in your quote:

"... Fast forward to the iPad. Steve Jobs said it was to fill the gap between phone and computer. It was never counted into Apple's marketshare of computers because, welll, it was a tablet. Then, when it suited Apple, they said a year later that OSX marketshare was top in the world. But, that is simply not true. Even if you did count all Apple "OSX" devices, it still doesn't come on top of Android. But, if you watch closely, they compare all OSX devices to just Microsoft PCs. So they took mobile statistics, and then started a comparison to all Windows PCs. How clever. And the media ate it up." - AppLovr

What's in your quote did happen a few months ago. The article was featured on MR. I think you just misremembered (I know that's not a real word).

There's more to a phone than the specs. There's how it integrates into your life and how it integrates with your other devices.

I don't care how it integrates with my other devices. I don't buy the ecosystem argument. It's like accepting another player to build a monopoly. I don't have any problem running Windows on my MacMini, having a Samsung phone and running OSX on my Macbook. It's even funnier than being stuck on a single platform.

All these Shamesung ads can only fool those weenie teenies whom into specs and features that have no use to them but as they get older they start to realized :apple: is the way to go.

Lol. I give them credit for this ad.

While I would never buy are samsung product again, the ads are fun.

Competition is a good thing. Hopefully it leads to even better Apple products.

I used to be a UNIX/Windows guy. I designed microprocessors for a living and wrote software at night to sell. Got sick of trying to make everything work together and constantly having to twiddle with my pocket pc's, palm's, and windows machines to try to keep them running properly.

Switched to all-Apple and what i gave up in the ability to tinker is more than made up for by the amount of time i've saved by not having to tinker.

Now with Continuity things are working together better than ever before.

Trashy commercial as usual. Effective though, the android fanboys eat this stuff up.

Funny thing is they weren't the first to have a big screen. Pretty sure it was Dell.

Is it just me, or is this getting too tiresome ? If only samsung would spend half of their energy for this ads, to create better devices...

I never said anything about the iPhone in 2007 being anything related to the iPad. Watch every keynote from 2007 and watch his terminology change through the years. I told you where to find all the information. Want me to hold your hand and talk you through the years? You should be happy to rewatch all the keynotes.

Edit: Like I said before, re-watch ALL the keynotes from 2007. All. Every one. Every single one. Not just 2007. Not 2011. Not just 2014. Watch every single keynote and WWDC. Watch 'em. When you're done, and you come back here to tell me I'm wrong, then I'll just assume you have a listening problem because Steve Jobs is clear in what he says and how he compares marketshare.

My point is when it is convenient, Apple compares their desktops and laptops vs Windows. That makes sense.

Then they would compare mobile phones. iPhone is the best selling model phone.

Then, they compare total market share of OSX. They include iPads, iPhones, and desktop devices. But, in 2010, Steve Jobs clearly said the iPad was a different segment of the market to be mobile. He then compared the iPad to Windows machines, undercutting his own argument from the previous year.

Watch the keynotes. It is a fact. Steve Jobs is clear in that regard.

There's a difference. Apple pay will actually work.

I can make a device and throw in 50 amazing features ....but if that's all I do, was it worth it?

The week after the announcement I got an email from my capital one card that apple pay will work next month . Apple is not just a noun, they are a verb. Not just implementing , but executing.

Big difference

"Apple is not just a noun, they are a verb." ah... someone just had a store meeting ;)
