When you're the gold standard, you don't mention your competitor. Hence, why Apple rarely, if ever, mentions Samsung.

Samsung ads make it clear that Apple is the market leader. Only a market follower calls out the competition by name. It's an axiom of advertising that you don't give free publicity to the competition unless you are trying to capture some of their glow.

And yes, when Apple ran the "PC" ads, Microsoft was the market leader, without a doubt.

Thanks, Samsung. (while I am walking into Apple store) :apple:

So I am expecting "Thanks again, Samsung" when :apple:WATCH is ready for me.

Truly hilarious given how many iPhone 6s Apple sold this weekend.

I was more shocked that the Amazon Fire phone only sold 35k units since July... now that is shocking. Apple on to selling millions of phones over the weekend, eh.. I'm used to that.

I was curious who this "@TVGMDamian" who they quoted was.

Was he an influential tech blogger or maybe someone with a tech background so that he would actually be able to put some kind of legitimate spin behind his claims.

Unfortunately no.

He is a writer for TV Guide Magazine.
Thats right, NOT Gizmdo or Ars Technica or Wired or Tech Crunch....no, TV Guide.

Good work Samsung, maybe next time you can get the guy that own the local chip shop to tweet a review, it seems just as relevant.

The specs on the Note 4 beats the iPhone 6 Plus.

The only thing that stop me from buying a Note 4 is the Android operating system.

I bought the Note 3 when it launched while still having an iPhone 5 and I ended up selling the Note 3 with-in a week of having it because of Android.

iPhone may be late by releasing the features that samsung already have for years, but those "same" features just works better on iPhone since apple spent longer time in researching before releasing them. On the other hand, samsung just want to lead the industry by introducing various new technologies, but none of them are complete because they rushed the process...

Their lameness aside, I relish in the fact that :apple:Pay isn't something Samsung will ever be able to copycat -- it's such a precise and deliberate blend of hardware, software (OS), patents, business deals, existing assets (credit cards via iTunes), etc.

Peace, Samsung.
You can actually blame the carriers for this. Google Wallet has been around forever now but most carriers have disabled it on Android phones in the states in lieu of their own efforts ISIS(and now named something else). Apple is late to the NFC party, but I agree they will probably be the ones to finally make it popular.

The contrast between iPhone ads and Samsung ads just emphasize the desperation of the latter. It's kind of sad.

Samsung has a marketing team that does everything in it's power to try and convince people why their phone is better than Apple's iPhone, while Apple's marketing team designs ads that... wait for it... actually show you what the phone can do. Their ads actually convince consumers that they should buy their phone just by demonstarting it. No comparisons to any other phone are necessary. They simply show you what they've created and that alone is enough.

Samsung thinks they're all hot stuff when they introduce a phone that, while larger than most other smartphones at the time, tried too much to be a tablet with calling functionality. The split screen multitasking, for example, isn't appealing to me as you can't really fit much of either window's content on the screen. I like how apple uses their extra screen real-estate to expand the functionality of the app it is running, not just blow it up and say "well now you can do two things at once [kinda]".
I like the ability to use a fine-point stylus and that one comes with the phone, but I just use my Adonit Jot when I need to doodle something.
Samsung may also have that S-Beam thing where you tap your phones together to share stuff, but honestly, have you seen 2 galaxy users do that (not in a commercial)? I actually air drop things to people all the time. Pictures of the group are on all the iPhones like that! <snaps fingers>

What the Android alliance doesn't realize is, it is never about the specs. While Android alliance pride themselves in all these specs, they forgot that larger RAM, faster CPUs are required because Android is an OS with compromises to cater to all hardware. This means Android has more useless codes and runs less efficiently.

Apple is definitely behind on screen size, it is because Apple has been focusing on minimizing product lines so they can focus better and lower manufacturing costs. (I have never seen a computer company with so few lines of notebooks).

their obsession with apple is telling. Serious doubt about their ability to sell their own products on their own merits.

Wow, what a lively debate here. I post, go to read the next comment, and there is another page. Thank you Samsung!!!!!
