The one thing new Siri doesn’t do is remove the “set up talk to Siri” notification badge that I’ve been seeing since installing the beta 😭
Oh that's annoying

I had a similar thing last week where it took my phone forever to get the basic Apple Intelligence assets, and then once they finally settled in, I then had a "ready for Apple Intelligence" thing sit at the top of my settings from last Thursday until yesterday

On top of that, on my newly setup iPhone 16, it seemed to be having an identity crisis as even though the Siri settings showed "powered by Apple Intelligence" it still showed the pre-Apple Intelligence Siri logo in settings as well as the fact that when summoning Siri it was still the old orb at the bottom of the screen instead of the screen edge glowing that the Apple Intelligence flavor of Siri added

I will say.. that iOS 27... feels like iOS 26.... hopefully the new "Siri" will fix that...
Yeah, and that's mostly because aside from this new Siri AI, this was the equivalent of Snow Leopard or Mountain Lion back in the days of OS X which were not about too many new features but more so refinements

watchOS was treated the same way as well, but despite that, they gutted support for all the watches that ran it last year, meaning if you have anything below the series 9 in the 8, 7, or 6, it's the end of the line for your software support

I get it, this wait has absolutely sucked and have gotten all the more antsy each and every day I've been seeing a bunch of people saying they finally got off this waitlist, but at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if I had to keep waiting even longer

I have a suspicion that that may happen but at the same time, I'm just trying to be optimistic and hopefully I will get it very soon

1 week and 7 hours, hopefully getting closer. I’ve been skimming this forum, has anyone in the US who signed up Tuesday afternoon gotten it yet?
Nope, not yet sadly

I signed up Tuesday evening (sometime after 6 or so) but I'm still waiting UGH

With each passing day with all those I've seen get it, I'm like perhaps today will be the day, but looks like that hope for today may be gone with these waning hours, but who knows, maybe later tonight I'll get a surprise ready for Siri notification but I'm not holding my breath

Le sigh, I guess I just have to continue to be patient

Does Apple update Siri only when iOS/macOS betas are released, or is Siri updated more frequently (i.e., backend without need to tie with operating system updates)?
I'm sure a lot of what they update to Siri on the backend without us really knowing it, but given that this this is the first real tangible change to Siri after the blunder that was the initial Apple Intelligence launch back in 2024, this is of course a big deal hence the waitlist just like they did initially with the aforementioned Apple Intelligence flavored Siri

If I not mistaken from what I've heard there were some that had to wait just over a week to get into that back when it initially launched in the beta form like Siri AI here, so who knows just how much longer most of us who joined the waitlist for this will have to wait, there's unfortunately no real way to tell with how random they have been with getting people through the waitlist

Yep, this is so me and many others right now that still haven't cleared this damn waitlist 😆

Seriously, I'm still so jealous for those that cleared the waitlist right away or within a day and for those like me that signed up for the waitlist a day after we now somehow we're still waiting a week later

Doesn't make any sense to me as to how they are sifting through this waitlist, but oh well I suppose we just all had to continue to be a little more patient as they do whatever they have to do to get through what I'm sure is a massive waitlist right now

Yeah… I think that the waitlist is tied to indexing in some way… That is the only thing that makes sense… I think it has to be at a certain percentage potentially.. I have 500gb in messages alone… 3.8tb in iCloud storage used…

And yeah, dropping support for the earlier Apple Watches caught me off guard.. As an Apple Watch Ultra 1 user. I wasn’t expecting that…

Yeah, this may be true to and extent, but from reports I've been seeing on here and other forums I've been seeing some people say that they got off the waitlist, even though they still had some indexing left

I'm not sure if I entirely believe this but some have said it does have some correlation while others have mostly said that it hasn't

I got the new Siri and I’m still indexing but it does seem like it’s random. Maybe time to try my luck on some lottery tickets 😂

Yeah, so it seems

Out of all what they're going through right now I honestly feel very bad for people that are on this beta that are legitimately developers because I'm sure many have been antsy to try this out so they can figure out how to add that functionality to work with their apps with the whole app intents API

And I’ve been done indexing since last Thursday night, and the wait continues for Siri. I’m honestly kind of surprised Apple hasn’t put anything out quietly to some developers explaining what’s going on and how the waitlist actually works in terms of factors involved. Obviously not put it out publicly, but they have their people that they let float things out.

Frankly, I'm kind of surprised they haven't either.

Will they though? Probably not but that's wishful thinking to think that they would put something out explaining themselves...

I could see an explanation on Tuesday with DB2 if it comes at all, but at this point, I’m not holding my breath.

At this point, it can’t be random
