You see...This is what I'm talking about! The person in the picture is not wearing "skinny" jeans. They are wearing slim jeans which I also wear. This would have been a problem had I kept my 6 plus. As soon as I heard about these phones bending, my 6 plus went back in favor of a 6.

Regardless of bending circumstances, those are NOT skinny jeans. They may not be baggy FUBU or boxy Lee brand, et al, but they're not tight fitting by any means.

They don't have to be tight fitting for them to make extra stress to hit the longer aluminum phone and cause it to bend.

You win this shiz. Bendghazi. That's inspired son :D

FWIW, I started carrying my 6+ in my front pocket today also, to see if it'll deform. Since I got it I avoided doing what I normally did, but now the newness has worn off I'm like F it. If it bends, it bends. Whatever.

Its just forming to fit your body, whats wrong with that?

I purchased Applecare today and if it does turn out to truly be an issue for me then I will get the Plus replaced with a 6 down the road.

that settles it. im getting the 6.

damn now I have to go through all this returning my 6 plus, and it gets here thursday

Slim/ straight leg...whatever you want to call them, all I'm saying is your pants are NOT too tight and I wear similar style pants/ jeans. I am on your side. This was a big concern to me. All I'm saying is that a lot of people here are going to say its your fault that your pants are too tight.

I never said they did.

Though, to be clear, I wouldn't be carrying around a phone that large in my pockets (front or back), regardless of jean fit. For me, it just looks silly and awkward.

Didn't Consumer Reports' testing find that the 6 bends easier than the 6 Plus?

I'm somewhat amazed by the people who buy a phablet sized device and then complain that they can't carry them stuffed down in their pockets like their 3.5 or 4 inch device. What exactly did you expect?

Those "scientific" tests by CR and others tested the phones by machines and not by real life scenarios. Thus if any tests were "fake", those were.

The 6 plus is a bigger device. The 6 may be more susceptible to bending but thats a non-issue (in my mind) considering the overall size of the device. Not to mention the fact that before any bending would have taken place with the 6 plus, I would have noticed an extreme amount of discomfort. How do I know that? Because I had the 6 plus and it was uncomfortable in my pocket as it was, and it was not bent when I returned to apple. I didn't want to keep a phone that was uncomfortable to keep in a pocket.

Those who offer up the excuse of changing one's wardrobe to accommodate a phone are crazy in my opinion btw.

I expected Apple to produce a device that could withstand normal reasonable daily circumstances. Had Apple used higher quality aluminum or magnesium alloy, we wouldn't be chatting about this right now.

Here is my launch-day iPhone 6 Plus. This is the second time my iPhone has bent. I bent it back into shape the first time, but knew it would happen again. Of course, it isn't anywhere near as bad as when deliberately bending the phone near the volume buttons, but it still sucks nonetheless. And it's not so much a bend as it is a twist/torsion of the phone. My iPhone 6+ rides in my front pocket of my straight leg jeans. I was able to carry all of my prior iPhones (every iteration of the iPhone) in my back pocket, which I sat on religiously– all without bending. The iPhone 6+? I can't even carry it in my front pocket without it deforming. This is a problem. And with multiple people having difficulty returning the phone for a replacement, I won't even be able to complain about Bendghazi to Apple. If I do, Apple may not replace it and I'd be stuck with a twisting iPhone. So– 9 people complaining among 10 million, or many more just simply returning them? For your viewing (dis)pleasure...

So you are one of 100 of the 10 million so still insignificant

Try sitting in your iPad air, see what happens. The bigger they get, the more vulnerable they get.

Or plastic. Just use plastic, and let it all flex. Lighter too. I like light stuff.
