What about flash..? Are we missing something here?
It's kind of sad that every time someone suggest one of the the features that are not available on iPhone, they are immediately regarded as Android Trolls :(
I have been (and still am) devoted Apple user since Apple II C days, is it too much to ask and suggest for some feature that is not currently available on iPhone without being labeled as Troll?

Firstly, I wasn't talking to you and I didn't label you as Troll.
Secondly, flash is one of the things in the long list (that includes removable battery, SD card, USB port and what not) of things some people ask for the iDevices to have. And since flash was missing from that list (suprisingly) I thought I would bring it up.

Personaly, as a heavy iPhone and iPad user, never really been in a situation when I needed a single one of these things. So I may totally be missing something here.

I seriously think Apple should have had a color corresponding to the Carriers color as a limited edition for the carrier..... If that was the case there'll be 4 new colors

T-Mobile
Sprint
AT&T
Verizon

That would be interesting but still looking forward to this 2

God please no! That's only a step away from carrier branding, with carriers' logos printed on the case and the carriers' own awful bloatware apps built into the devices firmware. Have you ever used a carrier-branded smartphone?

These leaks are hilariously awful. I'm not sure any other company has such prolific leaking of a new product.

where is the age of innovation? or at least a 4.5" or 5" screen. I got two hands. why limit to only one?

here we are like a bunch of kids. I want black. No, I want gold. Nope, white is better. or we can go to the mall and have a full selection of colors for everyone, like Nokia bar phone in the old days.

that is why Apple stock has been down, stagnate of innovation. Apple needs to drop the slow 2-year period to get a real upgrade.

So you mean increasing the screen is innovation?

What a bunch of kids, I want 4.5"! No, I want 5"! or we can go to the mall and have a full selection of sizes for everyone.

I wonder if the color option will spread to Apples other products, like a slate black rMBP would be awesome, or maybe i slate black iMac coupled with a slate black Apple Wireless Keyboard (with backlit keys) :p. I doubt it but it would be pretty nice to have the option.

I can see you being on Android like....... FOREVER :D

What am shocked is..... it toke you so long to do the switch!!

SD card and removable battery! What about flash?

Flash? The whole world is moving away from that ageing technology...

If you don't like Apple, if you no longer have an apple phone, what on earth are you doing here

Others leak as much, but nobody cares

hmm. since the iPhone 5C's case is said to be bigger than the iPhone 5/iPhone 5S, i wonder if the space will be used for a larger battery. wishful thinking.

All these color options seem like a production nightmare that isn't really worth it. 2 lines of phones 4-5 color options for each line. 4 Carriers. 3-4 storage capacities.....do the math.

not very Apple.

From a supply chain management perspective, different colours and memories don't have much impact. Different internals would.

Market cap: 420 billion. Biggest company in the world. Much better P/E ration than google. Better liquidity ratios than any other cia. Apple is doomed.

I just switched from an iPhone 4 to an S4. I got sick of waiting for a worthwhile upgrade from Apple. It will take more than a 5" screen to get me back - it will take the following:

  • Real customization features
  • Widgets (see above)
  • SBSettings-like feature out of the box
  • SD slot
  • user-replaceable/upgradable battery (I loved the extreme light weight of my S4 but I just had to upgrade the battery - now I have a 7500mah battery and it is well worth the bulk; I can watch multiple movies and play games for a FULL day and still have a good amount of runtime left at the end of the day)
  • USB host mode (I love that I can plug in a keyboard and mouse and actually use it much like a PC)
  • Compatibility with standardized devices, such as MHL 2.0 interfaces
  • 1080p resolution
  • 2 GB RAM
  • "virtual" buttons in addition to home (like Android's Back and Menu buttons)
  • Better task management

Oh, and the ultra-high ppi display is amazing - I can read full-page PDFs because the characters can be fully drawn, not just be blurred approximations. Reference manuals, e-books, etc. all tiny fonts fully readable whereas on the iPhone I had to zoom to a column of text for it to render. I'm re-reading an RHCE study guide, puny yet fully readable text on this 4.99" 1080p screen. :)

And you are so happy that decide to spend time in an apple forum. You seem to be trying to convince yooouuurrrssseeelllfff (thats your screen lagging)

I liked your "I can play games for a full day". Obviously, you don't seem to work very much

Dude, that was sarcasm.

:) sorry mate

Doubt it. Apple won't want the 5c to perform better than the 5s in any way.

How about one only thing - bigger screen.
Mobile phones these days are much more than just phones... they are mini computers.
Majority of time I use my iPhone 5 for texting, messaging, web browsing, etc and hardly ever for phone calls, sounds familiar?
I'm not alone and this is the reason why so many people these days are seeking mobile phones with bigger screen and since they are not getting it from Apple, they are unfortunately switching to Android instead. :(

Nonsense.

1. Trademarks are restricted to specific markets. Someone having a trademark on a beverage doesn't stop anyone from using that name for a phone.

2. "Champagne" is not a trademark. It is the origin of the beverage. By calling it "champagne" you claim that a sparkling wine is created in the Champagne region of France, somewhere around Reims, and if that is not true, you are lying to your customers.

3. "Champagne" is also used as a colour name. If a phone is champagne colour, you can call it champagne colour.

Well Thanks for the precisions. But still I am really curious to know the name of that color edition of the phone. I was actually born and raise in Reims, champagne, and I know they don't joke about this kind of things. It's a worlwide known beverage and they already don't appreciate the rumor that this is might be used. The champagne society is a very close and controlled micro society. With a lot of power.

Don't feed the troll, guys.

But I'd like to tell my story, if I may. I recently converted from my Retina MacBook Pro to a Toshiba Satellite Pro. I got sick of waiting for a worthwhile upgrade from Apple. It'll take the following to get me back:

  • Poor quality plastic case
  • **** support when it goes wrong
  • Tray-loading DVD drive (that's an extra feature the Mac doesn't have, that must be a plus!)
  • VGA output (come on, Apple. Why don't you have this in your flagship computer?!)
  • Removable battery (unacceptable that Apple don't have this)
  • Loads of fans on it (even though they run hotter, more fans makes me think that it'll somehow be cooler)

On my previous comments I have stated that bigger screen would be welcomed and I see lots of people who love iPhone wanting a bigger screen. Personally I am quite comfortable with the actual screen size, but if Apple does manage to shrink bezel and enecrease the screen size would be fantastic. The top and bottom bezels are really thick on iPhone.

As for using the phone as computer, there is allways iPad mini and since am into photography I can't do without having the iPad.

I kind of doubt it. When the iPod was king and one could get a rainbow of colors of them the only different color Mac was the black MacBook.

IMO the only products Apple choses to develop in a variety of colors are the ones that sell in huge quantities. I love my Macs but they are not the big money maker for Apple. I don't think it's worth Apple's time and money to invest in making multiple colors and finishes for Macs. After all, they are just trucks ;)

Totally agree with iPhone 5 oversized screen bezel, it just doesn't look right and a waste of space especially when you compare it to the backplate - it is not aligned with the screen, very unApple like in design and attention to detail. One can easily fit 4.5" or even 4.7" edge to edge screen into current form factor.
Oh well, maybe in 2014... and it will be called "revolutionary best iPhone ever"... ;)

remember the iPod classic?

The 2009 160GB iPod classic was not just slimmer than its predecessor, it also came in a lighter, grey colour - without Apple advertising it as such, but we could clearly see it. The 2007 iPod classic is as black as the clickwheel, on the 2009 the clickwheel stands out more and the casing is more grey than black.

I think the 5S will come in Graphite and Champagne only. Want a white iPhone? get a 5C! Want a black iPhone? Wait for next year !

Struggling to decide between the black/slate and the black/graphite

I might order two iPhones in one of each colour and see which looks better in the flesh and return the unwanted one, that's if I still can't decide :D

Little bit like S3 > S4 .. same physical size, smaller bezel = bigger screen. Funny thing is, even if you don't think you need a bigger screen. Once you worked with one you'll have trouble going back ... WHen I have my GFs iPhone 4S in my hands I think "how cute is that" :D
