Try Amazon. They have 2-4 weeks ETA, but in most cases they ship earlier, and they take non-US credit cards and deliver to a US address.

I've used Amazon in the past, they're great. But I couldn't wait 2+ weeks. Actually I just ordered from one of Amazon's 3rd party shops - through Amazon. One that had a few in stock. And I just got an email saying IT HAS SHIPPED. :D Sorry for yelling, but I'm so happy that I finally got one. I spent too much time trying different stores.

They are back at Newegg.com for $629 for 160gb. STUPID!

I like Newegg, but I got tired of waiting on them, and didn't feel like paying the price they are currently asking($629) for the intel GEN2 160GB SSD. So, I purchased from Amazon. I was able to get the GEN2 160GB intel SSD for $491, which is a good price in today's market. I wish I would have grabbed one when they first came out, and Newegg had them for $449 or something. Oh well, I'm just happy mine has shipped, and I have a tracking number on it.

Cancelled my amazon since the seller that was suppose to get them an didn't, So I found a G2 on ebay for $535 + tax came out to 580... they are in California so it will ship tommoroe...

You should have went with Amazon. Mine is going to be here on Wednesday. As I mentioned, they always give you "extra time" for shipping estimate to cover themselves (so that you dont call and complain because it originally said 1 week and now it's two). If something is not in stock at Amazon and has a 2-4 weeks, etc ETA dates, I always call and confirm with the CSRs about "true" availability. Besides, if anything goes wrong, Amazon's return policy is second to none!

Please report back when you receive your drive. You sound excited :D

I've never bought anything from eBay unless the price was 25% less than MSRP or in online stores (e.g., Amazon, Newegg, etc). I know you are paying extra for the "availability", but Intel released a statement saying that the drives are now fixed and the shipments will resume. Just another week or so...

Arrived today

Picked up the SSDSA2MH160G2R5 from Buy.com on Ebay for $452 - 8% Bing Rebate - 2% Ebay Bucks = about $407 total.

I should be getting it on Thursday. Can't wait

Well my G2 160GB just came via Fedex. Thanks Buy, that was fast. I should be installing it this weekend.

Mine came in from Amazon.com today; i paid $498 shipped. The speeds are ridiculous to say the least. Honestly, i didn't mind paying the extra 50 bucks ontop of the regular $440, its worth it. I don't know about $600+ though, that just seems wrong.

I guess I was just gettin anxious..

I think it's great that newegg raise their prices, so that it's available for those who want to pay for it. But I'm happy I'm getting mine at just shy of $500 (ordered yesterday should arrive tomorrow). Eventually SSDs will be cheap and plentiful, so it's all good.

My brother nabbed one off Amazon yesterday for $489 (via ANTOnline...they had one left in stock)

Seems like he got a good deal.

I think I've bought it from the same seller... multiwavevideo or techtreasure... I've just received an email from them telling me that the drives were out of stock...

I'm really looking forward to purchasing the 160GB model, but wow it just got way to expensive. When do you guys think the price will go back to the $450-$500 range?

CDW has it for $479 (1-3 days shipping), but it is through education contract discount. The regular price is $503.

You just have to keep looking. Like I said, the other day my brother picked one up from Amazon (via a reseller) for $489 (160 GB model)

Buy.com on Ebay has it for $230.99 - 8% Bing Rebate - 2% Ebay Bucks = Great deal.

I got my 160GB G2 delivered from them yesterday, they deliver fast.

Just a heads up

Just ordered this. Thanks for the heads up.

For everyone: This is the model that doesn't come with the spacer or with the installation kit. Those aren't needed for installation in a mbp anyways, but I'll let everyone know if something does happen to be incompatible.

Great price imo.

You're welcome. I got the retail 160 g2 from them and didn't use any of the things that came with it. Absolutely great price and great service from Buy. I feel I got an absolute steal at $407 after the rebates

I bought one of these during the ( like one hour window) when they first showed on the site.

Thing is, I installed this with bootcamp and now SL and the boot times are really quick.

You might just not need Fusion any longer it's that quick.

I mean this stuff was fast to begin with but SL is another big boost.
