I wish this was my upgrade year, because after using Force Touch on my Apple Watch, I would LOVE to have it on my iPhone.

Cook has said in the results delivered in Jan that many existing iPhone owners have not upgraded to the 6 or 6+. They can do the analysis to work out why but I'm hoping they conclude it's due to size. I purchased a 6+ and returned it with in 2 days to get an iPhone 6. I really hope they make a new 4" this year but if I hear they are not, I'll probably switch back to a 5S. It has Touch ID and I have Apple Pay on my watch so I'm happy with that.

The S upgrades are the best! Really looking forward to a faster and more able Plus model.

Analyst predicts totally obvious technology upgrades. News at 11.

Force Touch in 2015 iPhones is obvious?

12 MP Camera imaging is obvious when Apple has fought the megapixel wars all along?

2 GB RAM? Ok that was obvious based on the newer iPads hardware.

I don't understand why people are so adamant about USB-C. All of my devices and accessories are finally almost all transitioned to lightning. Lightning works great for me and I'd prefer not to have to manage three different cables. Let's stick with lightning for a while.

Yeah. I don't expect Apple to adopt it for quite some time, there's really no incentive to do it. If anything I expect it to be the future for mobile Apple devices (except the Macbook) until they take a real gander on how to implement wireless charging.

the problem for me would be that i will not be able to use it one handed, and when you are missing the other hand it is a key feature ;)
Jokes aside (i do still have both hands) for my usage 4 inch is optimal, have tried the 4,7 inch a couple of times for an extended periode of time, but the width is not for me.
I do hope that apple will see that they are throwing away customers by not offering a 4 inch model.

Try it for a couple weeks...

Anyway, based on the sales figures they've gained far more customers than they lost with the larger screens :)

How long ago was it that a 32" CRT TV was considered ridiculously large? Now where are we? Time marches on.

They were considered silly for the ridiculous size they took, due to CRT technology.
Something that never was a problem on the smartphones.

Time marches on, and Apple use retarded arguments like "No one wants a 5" phone" or "4" is the perfect size" to sell their phones, and forget about them if they can get more profits. And no, 4" wasn't the "perfect size" by the time Apple said that. A bigger screen would have been a success just like the iPhone 6 if it had been included on the iPhone 5.

No thank you. I'm gonna keep my iPhone 4S until Apple makes 4" screens again. And if they don't, the 4S has been my last iPhone.

I do not know if i would go to anything else then iphone, but that will be a problem for the day i can no longer get one in 4 inch

Im with you on that. I should be able to get another year and a half from my 5c. But the 4 inch models are perfect for me (especially since I use the phone to make a lot of calls). Hopefully they don't abandon the 4 inch line.

It's going to be very difficult to get a Rose Gold. It's going to be the Space Gray of the Apple Watches.

This looks like a solid upgrade...on top of that iOS 9. Probably one of the biggest S upgrades we've ever had.

An "S" model with a new generation chip? I thought the next-gen chips were always reserved for the next-gen iPhones (i.e. 5, 6, 7, etc...).

By sapphire cover lens, does he mean the screen? Because the camera lens is already sapphire. If he does mean the screen, why on earth would that only come to the 5.5 inch? With OIS it was because it couldn't fit in the 6, but that obviously doesn't apply to a screen.

Mmm I guess I'll get a 5S eventually, and once the 5S no longer has iOS support I'll be considering things.

Hopefully Apple realises that there are actually a large number of iPhone users who would like a 4 inch model to be maintained in the lineup.

Every iPhone has a new chip, the S models usually have more of an internal upgrade than the others.

Les than one year ago Apple was telling people that 4" was the perfect size and anything larger was silly, now Apple isn't going to sell new 4" phones.

This is called the Reality Distortion Field of Apple

This is called "people whining at changing technology trends"

For the first time I didn't do an annual upgrade (from a 5s) but not because I didn't like the new phone but because I thought I hold off and get an :apple:watch instead. Also I had finally come out of contract having bought the 5s outright and wasn't in a hurry to start another contract. And then I decided against £10K for a watch!!

Am now desperate to upgrade but won't do so mid year. So 5 months it is to wait.

Maybe it's time to feature OLED screens in iPhones too. The screen in the new S6 series are quite impressive. A huge leap over even the best LCD in contrast, and the first time I had the impression during my hands on with the S6 that color accuracy is pretty spot on. IMHO it's a first with OLED phones. I couldn't spot the usual green or blue tint and gradation seamed fine too. Apple is on to something with OLED in the Apple Watch, it's just a matter of time.

Give me a gold iPhone with a black front with a gold ring #

White front for the rose gold.
I really want black and champagne gold too.......but will settle for a gold case on a black phone if that is the best I can get.

Am not that keen on my gold 5s anymore with the white front.

Am awaiting delivery of a gold rMB so a black and gold phone would match that nicely.......although also fancy a pair of wireless studio beats which are white and gold that match the White phone better :rolleyes:
