But where is my liquidmetal?
Except for the fact that they will need a new case I guess...![]()
I'll be damned. I guess that explains why she's wrong so often.Ming is a woman and yet in most article people assume she is a man and refer to her as "he". Please fix this.
Then try looking mate! Usually happens when they want to introduce a technology new to that productApple going thicker? I'll believe that when I see it.
Force Touch will use a new AMOLED display.
I'm not. While I generally prefer black, my black iPhone 5 was much more prone to scratches than my space gray iPhone 6 and my black iPad Mini for testing at work is much more prone to scratches than my space gray iPad Air 2. If they can somehow make the anodization process more scratch resistant then great, but for now I'd prefer it if they didn't make the new iPhone easier to see scratches. At least they should give an option for a black front bezel with the plain aluminum back from the white models.
As for the rest of the article, making the casing stronger is only good news. I doubt it will mess too much with existing cases either as the iPad Mini 2 and 3 are slightly different thickness than the original Mini but they still share accessories.

Wait is this a thing?
The lens itself is fine. It's the metal ring around it that gets dinged up. Not to mention it's ugly. I'd just really love a flat back again. What's the problem with it? Since it is sapphire I didn't have a scratch and therefore no problems at all.
That's some kind of carbon coating that I think may be a different process alotgether. For instance, I think the regular space gray aluminum sports watch uses a different process and so it won't hold up as well as the stainless steel black model. What would be interesting is to hear from space gray sport watch owners is how well it holds up to scratches vs. something like the iPhone 5 or original iPad Mini. From what I remember at my try-on appointment it seemed darker than my iPhone, but not as dark as the iPhone 5. If they can find a nice middle ground that doesn't scratch too easily then I'd be all for it. Although honestly most of the reason I care is because of the resale value. I tried to not use a case when I got the 6 but it was so slippery that I had to get a case just to grip the darn thing! Especially since I have a Plus which can be unwieldy. Maybe when I go down in size to the 6S I can pickup a bumper from somewhere. I loved the bumpers on my iPhone 4/4S.While I'm prone to not scratching my phone anyway, I sympathize with your situation, and agree I've seen friend's 5's with tons of scratches and it doesn't look good (then again I see friend's phones with tons of scratches regardless of the color). However, even though I believe Apple switched from Black to Space Grey for the very reason of having scratches come off as less apparent, I do believe they have remedied the situation at least partially. I don't know if you've followed other threads, but I was checking out the Apple Watch threads the past few weeks and the very last watch to ship was the Black stainless steal version, because apparently it takes the longest to make and is a much better anodized process than the previous black iPhones were. So it could be that their interim solution to scratches on the dark colored iPhone was to release the space grey color, and now that they have been able to produce a more scratch resistant anodized black, they're going back to that.
Yawn.
Why would they make it thicker and then make it thinner again in the iPhone 7?
2 day battery life in a 4,7" iphone? maybe in the iphone 12, or when Jony get out of apple.Just imagine a full black 2 days battery 2 gb ram non tab reloading force touch iphone 6s![]()
Forcetouch or AMOLED? Yes, to both.
Vibranium is better.I was thinking Adamantium would be really nice.....
I was talking about AMOLED specifically. Forcetouch seems like an obvious bet for the 6S.
If they do plan on changing the current IPS display to that of an AMOLED one, I doubt it would come as soon as this year; both for manufacturing reasons, and (even more likely) for product differentation between 6S and 7. Display changes are usually for the number change models, are they not?
The apple watch was the first product of apple's with an AMOLED display and that just launched - or am I wrong?
So it looks like we're stick with the protruding camera lens for another year? -__-
Duel cameras just isn't happeningPretty sure it will gone. I read the dual cameras allow for a thinner device
