Ugh, that asymmetry is killing me.

A very good point. So far we have had black and dark grey. I guess this could be the case for the white model?

The current design "leaks" show the white with a polished bezel (the corner transition) and an unpolished, but silver band, and the black with a darker anodized looking band. Basically like white/light/bright/polished or black/grey/matte.

Not that much thinner after all huh? Or bad angle?

The 4S doesn't have the front panel on. It sits flush with the new iPhone but sits proud on the 4S.

Also, there does appear to be some kind of uneven surface going on there. It seems to be sitting higher on the side nearest the 4S.

The new iPhone will be thinner. I think that's clear.

Final point - it looks amazing!

few words:

FIRST AN MOST IMPORTANT: No iPhone Leak is credible if the Piece/Part isn't found "missing" at some Malibu Bar (or any bar near Cupertino).

Second: APPLE use to build few CONCEPTUAL prototypes for :

1 Feature Test.

2 Hardware quality Test.

3 Manufacturing Process Test.

Very Often those Prototypes NEVER see a Product Line, and Most are SHORT-RUN Builds.

Apple may have ordered 1000 units of such "iPhone 5" while keeping on DEEP SECRET the REAL and Complete Different New iPhone (6th gen) -most likely-.

Those Short-Run Prototypes also are sent to Software Partners for Applicantion & Game development that require some "real" hardware to validate.

I Bet every thing I have to the next iPhone really is a complete different design, may keep most especifications (specially screen Resolution), but a complete new Case Is most likely to come.

From the Patents I have been Following, the Next iPhone must have some Ceramic Body instead Alluminun / Steel or Gorilla Glass, (much better Radio, ligther, and Premium Jewel-Look).

I couldn't hope more that what you are saying is the truth (hate the look of the two tone back)... but I doubt it. It would be an unprecedented corporate misdirection. The greatest spoof of all time! Unfortunately, there are just too many parts that work together, and zero other parts. I think we'll see a unibody glass iphone some day, but not this time around. There will always be a little part of me that is holding out hope though.

Earlier this year, Tim Cook made it clear Apple would jump through hoops to make sure things aren't leaking the way they are nowadays...

Now we have a full iPhone 5. Am I crazy to say these are Apple leaks, but of a fake iPhone 5? I think Apple is manufacturing fake parts and leaking them to confuse the public.

I don't think the new iPhone is going to look like this. It doesn't make sense to me. The S3 looks nicer to be honest..

When has Apple released a phone that isn't instantly the best phone on the market in almost every way? My two cents.

Call me crazy, but you are about the 5,364th person to post this same exact thing. If you can't come to grips with the new design, go buy the S3. Problem solved.

I'll just leave this here. I'm calling fake on iResQ

I don't think it's crooked. It looks like the phone is slightly tilted while resting on the surface.

Either way - this is in line with the rest of the billion leaks so far. Its going to look like this.

Actually the back glass is on there, the 4S is just missing the front glass. I thought the 5 was supposed to be as thin as the metal band around the 4S/4. Even if the front glass of the 5 fits flush inside the frame, it is not as thin as people have been saying...

The 4S in the pic has the BACK glass removed. The "5" is missing the front glass. All the rumors thus far have put the new iPhone at 7.6mm. The metal band plus the front glass on the 4/4S as shown in the pic is 7.76mm. As long as the new glass is flush with the casing (which I presume it will be based on the beveled edge of the new metal band), this would match up perfectly with the rumor mill. Take the back glass off a 4/4S and hold it in your hand. It's a small difference, but it's definitely noticeable right away.

The headphone on the bottom thing is surely a fairly minor point. I mean, there are upsides and downsides.

When it's at the top the cable can swing about and get in the way of the screen. On the bottom it can't do that. Of course, if it's on the bottom it can mean that you can't prop the iPhone up on your lap or what have you but, well, do people often do that?

I suspect that people will get used to it and, pretty soon, stop being bothered.

Is anyone else annoyed when they put the headphone jack on the bottom? That drives me nuts on my iPod Touch.

I think it's the dumbest thing to have the headphone jack at the BOTTOM of the phone.

Makes perfect sense to me. When I listen to music, I put my phone in my pocket. With the headphone jack on the bottom, I don't have to pull the phone all the way out and reverse orientation to change the sound, volume, etc. And there are thousands of others who agree.

Besides, would you really not buy a phone just because they moved the jack to the bottom and you prefer it on the top??

Its better to be on the bottom. When you holding normally the device if its on the top the cable is messing with your hands, go infront of the screen, etc. When its on the bottom you dont have that problem. When you have the device in your pocket it is upside down with the phone jack rdy to connect with the headphones cable. When you pull it off you dont have to turn it around.

The front screen protrudes from the device on a 4/4S and is not included in the picture. We don't know to what extent it does on the new iPhone.

It will most certainly still have the front glass and we don't know how much it will stick out, if any.

Hopefully it doesn't protude out. That had to be one of the stupidest decisions apple made with the 4. Most phones have the outside ring of the device protrude further than the glass to protect it.

this is the white iphone bezel...

Well then, if that's the case then this might be the first time I think the black model looks better than the white. If there is a black bezel for the black iPhone, there should be a white bezel for the white iPhone. Although I suppose the white and aluminum look is something Apple has always liked.
