Thats wrong bro, it should be called "the unreleased new iPhone with iOS app-like squared home button"

In other news, the iPhone 6 is going to come with a screen. I can't reveal my sources, sorry.

They've never put the biggest new feature as part of the title before.
It's The new iPhone™ - Introducing a newer iHome Button - Same sleek look. Total under the hood improvements!

LOL, no doubt.

I honestly think that Apple can market the changing of the home button and some people would eat it up like its the next messiah.

So only black and white? I was kinda hoping they would offer the new iPhone in Livestrong yellow.

Actually, there may be something to this. Could it be that they want more space covered under the bezel to hold it better than the current way? It seems like it's spaced out more which might mean it has room to shrink. Such small details in all parts can add to a thinner device hopefully not or a bigger battery. I vote for the battery but  likes their stuff paper small.

Can't wait for the iPad Paper. Can crumple it up and stick it in your pocket.

Wow! I wasnt expecting iPhone part leaks this early, after the Qualcomm LTE chip delay news. This could mean an earlier than September launch?

Or an iPad mini? Maybe it is for a new/different iOS device?

Great. Here we go with the overanalyzation of minutiae to build to an underwhelming frenzy about the next iPhone. Can I please hear about the color of the wiring next?

No problem, from this analyst:

Black in the black models , White in the white models!

Also, the wire gauge was reduced by 0.0034 mm and has
increased throughput speeds by 12.836 picoseconds.

Hopefully the larger area mounted within the phone is a design change for a more reliable home button. I haven't had any problems with mine, but there are enough posts about problems to suggest that a more robust design will be welcome.

I keep wondering what will happen when the new new iPad/iPhone will come out...then the old will still be "New" ?

the newer iPad / /the even newer iPad / the newest iPad / the revolutionary iPad / the fabulous iPad / the extraordinary iPad / iPad 3D ...

I think this is great. While small and meaningless, it is the first part leak of the new iPhone. I personally am very excited by this. Bring on new ribbon cable pics. ;)

im sorry, my eye must be playing tricks on me but how is the square different from prevous iphones? it looks like the same square i always seen.

Go ahead and downvote, but an article immediately loses credibility with me when they call the 6th iPhone the "iPhone 5".

Not a good idea. Have you used an Android phone with the touch buttons? They're unresponsive, easy to accidentally hit, and just don't work too well in practice. The iHome button is a staple of the lineup and should stick around until some truly revolutionary replacement comes along through haptics or otherwise, but I think that is quite a ways away.

Anyway, this home button thing is fairly boring to me, I want to see hints of the new screen and enclosure!

Agreed. And Android capacitive buttons like the Galaxy S II light up every time you touch the screen and then turn off after around 5 or so seconds. This means when surfing the web or playing a game or doing anything where's you will be touching the screen at intervals the buttons will be flashing all the time.

That said, the last picture of the home button appears to show a translucency of the square graphic. Maybe there will be a notification light like a sleeping Mac?

Quick, someone post already that the next iPhone has a microphone AND speaker (before someone else does).

Wrong, Apple likes to simplify things.

Current iPad: The new iPad
Next iPad: The new iPad 2
Next iPad: The newer iPad
Next iPad: The newer iPad 2

and so on.

They mean the outer square around the square.

White square with rounded corners (on black model) is the same
Black Circle you push down is the same
square that holds it in place is different - compare it with the second to last pic in the article, it just has two wings at 2:00 and 8:00.

What a bull. MR should check their resources better. The button presented is in fact the iPhone 4s button, which was redesigned to prevent liquids entering the iPhone, a common problem, found in the iPhone 4,and 3. The square part is made of silicone rubber, which is taped to the backside of the touchscreen, creating a watertight seal. The old button presented is in fact the button used in the iPhone 4, and in the iPhone 3 series.
