2015: next iPad Air may include upgraded A9 processor and 9 megapixel camera.
2016: next iPad Air may include upgraded A10 processor and 10 megapixel camera.
2017: next iPad Air may include upgraded A11 processor and 11 megapixel camera.
2018: next iPad Air may include upgraded A12 processor and 12 megapixel camera.
Whatever next?
because the iPad air needs a new processor, a camera no-one really uses and a finger print sensor.. meh. Come on Apple.

This just in...
The sun will rise again tomorrow!
Thanks for the update.
But seriously. MacRumors seems to be desperately trying to drum up some clicks on their site.

Oh wow, such revelation! Guys, this is a big surprise! It is unclear when Apple plans to release its second-generation iPad Air, but rumors have pointed towards a release in September or October
LG Display will begin production on the displays in June, with Samsung and Sharp ramping up production next month.
In the past, people use cameras by looking into the tiny viewfinder. When we have LCD screens at the back of our camera, people were laughing, claiming that it is stupid. Fast forward today, there are cameras not having viewfinders anymore.
2015 will probably see the larger 12" ipad.
I'm kind of concerned that Apple will eventually reach a dead end with the iPad. I mean seriously they're just gonna say, "New processor, much performance, new Camera, omg TouchID, better battery life, much thinner". I have no idea what else can they improve in that thing. iOS is something different but in terms of hardware, idk.
Maybe they can improve stylus precision so that when you write its more accurate? Maybe iPad can become a digitizer for the Mac? waterproof? 32GB is the new standard? external card storage? i'm just throwing ideas.
Exactly
It's pointless now
My "old" new iPad is fast enough
It's no wonder the market is becoming saturated.
We don't need to upgrade our iPads
