What does the battery have to do with getting your music off an iPod? Connect the device to the USB or Firewire port and get your music. Done.

Usually even if a phones battery holds less than 1% it will still connect via cable. But in my case the iPod wouldnt last for more than 30 minutes, and eventually got worse down to 15 minutes and on top of it all the hard drive failed in the end which rendered the iPod completely useless.

But youre not comprehending what I wrote, I gave a number of examples of the limitations/fault of the iPod. Its not just the battery. And getting music BACK from an iPod wasnt possible back then (and if it was, i didnt know about it). Even today you have to be somewhat tech savvy to get tracks off the iPod.

Apple wants to stick with size design originality. But if Apple retains its size let's admit HTC started for bigger size. Now Samsung also is bringing ceramics design and heat displacement dissipation technology. We know Blackberry RIM design did not got bigger instead the screen remains the same. If we remember other younger generation phones we always find many other manufacturers bringing on a new innovated ways to improve image. My opinion is customer satisfaction placed HTC in 2nd place behind Apple. I suggest to Apple to follow suite over stiffness symptoms of design like RIM has. If Apple bring something new with its size my question is the problem with the soft one bottom design on the iphone. And moreover if sized is the issue here everyone expects more room with feautures under the hood. I suggest to Apple to make bigger on screen keypad for example. I only suggest Apple to impress us with size and features because does matters. And also a customer user experience adviser myself. I will do it for free because Apple is among the best brand out there.

You don't understand marketing very well if you believe that people don't base a purchase on how a device feels in the hand and it's design amongst other things.

I work in marketing. Consumers don't run towards a phone because they can use one hand. Youre taking things to the extreme.

They run towards a phone because of things like; ease of use, aesthetic design, price and BRAND NAME. And we all know how often people buy iPhones just because of the name.

So, youre against consumers having choice?

You should know that T-Mobile *does* want the iPhone but Apple, I mean Foxconn, isn't making any with the AWS band. But hey, its easier to just flame an entity without any knowledge on the subject.

I wanted to post the first reply on it's own. Because you are changing what I said to not be at all what I stated.

I was not suggesting whether T-Mobile wants the iPhone or not, which I would tend to assume they would as it is one of the world's most popular mobile devices. What I did say, however, is that they are "too cheap to agree to Apple's terms".

No successful company in the history of the planet will agree to terms that does not benefit them. To put in the out-of-date basebands with antennas is not worth their time, and T-Mobile will not pay enough to make it worth their time.

Sprint, however, realized that it was necessary to support such a device (however late that was).

I am not trying to be an *******, however, in the future before you reply to someone's post - it might be worthwhile considering what they actually said before giving them inaccurate flak.

Of course it is.

There's been little suggestion other than rumours of a bigger screen (i.e. no software related hints).

I'd like a 4" screen however. But happy with 3.5".

Of course you are happy what ever Apple shall give you.
Maybe 3" would be nicer? And dont forget that if Apple changes the resolution or the aspect ratio of the screen, whole iOS wolrd WILL collapse immediately.

Because they cannot code. Or what is the todays excuse again?

Well if true, not enough for me to upgrade. I'll stick with my iPhone 4 and be happy.

I won't. My 4 is getting pretty laggy lately. It's reminding me of my 3G a few months before I got the 4 (Where I was noticing lag in opening apps and just general slowness. Except this time it's more random pauses... I think it needs more RAM. And of course a faster processor wouldn't hurt).

As for the mini dock, does anyone know if there most likely will be a dongle to convert it to the old style dock (I have my car radio set up so that I can hook my iphone/ipod to it and control the music on it via the car radio. This is very useful when it comes to using Navigon cause then it will actually give the voice instructions over my car speakers which are a lot easier to hear than the iphone's).

In one week we have rumors of 4.6", 4" and now 3.5". Maybe these are all controlled Apple leak to see what the reaction is. If that's the case, I think it is safe to say that 3.5" is outnumbered and passionately at that.

It really surprises me that so many people are happy and would welcome another 3.5 inch screen. I have used Android devices ranging from 3.7-4.6 for development, and Apple is long overdue for a larger screen. Not saying it is for everyone, but believe me when I tell you, the experience on a larger screen is great. Also depending on design they fit just as nicely in hands and pockets.

Good to go.

If the new phone gets a larger screen, they'll have to put in a smaller doc connector to accommodate the larger battery needed to run the larger screen…
I'm happy with my screen and connector size as is.

The specs on these new models below, blow iphone out of the water in my book. Some of them are pretty sleek looking too. I'm not going back to Windows, but I might be tempted by one of these otherwise for what I do on a phone.

How can a 3.5" screen possibly be considered outdated? Changing it from its ideal size would be a big mistake. Change for the sake of change would be stupid.

I'm really not clamoring for a bigger screen, 3.5 is just fine. If I want a little more screen real estate, I'm going to pick up my iPad.

I need my iPhone to be ultra portable, comfortable to hold, and not put a huge bulge in my front jeans pocket. I've never had a problem doing what I need to do on the move with my iPhone because of the screen size. I'm not going to spend the entire day surfing the web on the thing, because I don't need to, I'm going to use my iPad or my desktop for that.

I would hate to see a huge beast of an iPhone released. Keep it small and tidy.

Thank you. The iPhone is just that, a device to use when you need to be really mobile. Key word for that is mobile. You're not supposed to use it as your sole access, that's what an iPad or computer is for :p.

There's a reason they keep trying to make it smaller, not bigger. Because it makes it much more portable and easy to take everywhere with you. 3.5 is a good compromise between being very portable and still having enough usable screen space.

Anything above 4" is not a good compromise at all. I just hope if they do make it bigger it won't be bigger than 4". But I'll be quite happy if they stay at 3.5".

'Yes, let's give a handout to a poorly run company that chooses to not jump on that train and offer one of the world's most popular phones.'

You imply here that T-Mobile didnt want the iPhone.

Than why were you so aggressive or implied being against T-Mobile getting the iPhone???

Nothing I stated implied they should not get the iPhone. You may have inferred that, however.

All I said is they are not willing to give Apple enough monetary incentive to add a different antenna.

no way this can´t be true i really want 4 inch display it is really needed 3,5 is just too small.I don´t want 4.3-4.8 screens but in new iphone there must be some screen upgrade. If not I will keep my 4 or buy second hand 4s.I think that LTE sucks it isn´t supported in many countries mine included so it isn´t important to me smaller dock connector I don´t care just give me 4 inch display. And everything will be ok.

iPhone 5 on Sprint?

Does this 4G LTE thing mean that the iPhone 5 won't be available with Sprint? Because I heard that Sprint isn't doing very well financially and isn't able to build up a 4G network like AT&T and Verison are doing.

I would like to see a larger screen. If not there is very little reason for me to upgrade.
I can see apple enlarging the screen and form factor to pack in a larger battery to support the power hungry "4 G" service.

Honestly, while I'd be happy if they kept the screen 3.5", if the only update on the new phone is LTE and a smaller dock (I mean not even having a faster processor or better graphics chip or more RAM), I might just buy a 4S instead (so that I can keep my accessories working and I don't care about LTE and the 4S will have all the updates the new one has that I care about. And I like the iphone 4's form).

So even for me, who wants them to keep the screen small, if that is the only update that's not even incentive for me to buy. That's a no brainer for me.

Eh? Same specs? The retina screen wasn't launched until the iPhone 4, the 3GS offered a vast upgrade over the 3G, the 3G a different design over the first iPhone, the iPhone 4 also gave the A4 processor and much better camera with flash and front camera plus a totally new design, the 4S gave us the dual core A5 processor and again better camera.

So please do not state they have given you the same specs year after year when they have in no way done anything like that.

Whooo same screen maybe more gigabytes? yeah sounds really nice upgrade. Perhaps more some that retina stuff? maybe more pixels on that 3" post stamp screen 2145x1500 in 3" that would be awesome design new new stuff amazing, just amazing and pure innovation

Sprint bought 30 Million iPhones. Not just iPhone 4's and 4S's, but 30 Million "iPhones". That should entitle them to the next iPhone which will be called " the NEW iPhone".
