So for my mobileMe/iCloud, do I have to set up "send mail as" AND "check mail from other accounts"? And there is no way either stock email client on Android can just handle multiple accounts properly like iOS mail?

Edit: Tried doing all that and it is still not working. If there is one thing I miss about iOS it is the simple mail client that doesn't force you to use Apple's mail services.

Sorry, I don't use my iCloud client, so don't know what to tell you on that one? I can only verify that outlook and yahoo work. Might want to create a new thread asking this question. I am sure someone has an answer.

After doing some XDA searching, it appears the stock Android email app does not support push for anything besides exchange, which is a huge bummer. I definitely miss the simplicity and superior functionality of iOS mail over the stock Android email app. I do like the design of the stock email app, too bad it doesn't support push. I'll have to go back to K9 and hope they fix the UI problem.

The two reviews basically say the same thing. Very positive overall, negative about the camera. Engadget for the most part agreed with them, even some similar comments like the camera being really inconsistent and very high shutter lag.

No, Engadget clearly recommends the phone. Says it is one of the best phones in the market. On the other hand, verge says with these shortcomings it is hard to be a winner. Like it is their job to boost iphone sales. Such a biased website.

First impression do you like it more than your note?

Overall, I like the Note more, it's just a beast of a phone.

Things I like about the Nexus though is its IPS screen (doesn't compete with AMOLED blacks though). The size of the phone is very manageable. Not to big, not to small. Comes with no carrier and manufacturer bloatware. On screen buttons. Built in wireless charging. At this point, not sure if I'm keeping one or the other or maybe just keep both.

Get the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case (which comes with a free screen protector). Seriously, this is probably the best damn case protector AND crystal clear quality screen protector I have ever had. The reason I mention this is because the case literally takes care of this power button wiggly issue and does so very nicely. Take a look at the pics below. Buttons are flush, a nice tap is all it takes to turn on the phone and it looks awegreat. There is also an "air cushion" built into each corner so the case takes the brunt of the fall, not the phone and there is a 1mm lip surrounding the screen to protect it from face first falls. Back is crystal clear and has a scratch proof coating.

Pictures look great. Got the Ultra Hybrid coming in the mail as we speak. Also picked up the Slim Armor case. I wasn't expecting the phone to arrive so early. Thought I was going to get the cases before the phone but Google was on top of things this year.

what cases are you guys using for the phone?

I bought this one but will be sending it back.

The back is too flat yet the back of the phone is slightly curved. Doesn't feel nearly as good in the hand, and its just too bulky for one handed use.

This is the exact problem I had when I tried android a year ago. I use a simple mail.mycompanyname.com IMAP email and it doesn't work on the stock email app. I was forced to use K-9 as well. If the mail client worked as well as the ios mail app I would be all over this phone. I was hoping this would have been addressed by now. Oh well.

As much as I love the Nexus 5, I think that the screen is too big. I prefer smaller phones, but I was ready to give up and go for the Nexus. Now I'm having second thoughts. I come from an iPhone 5. This is a big phone to me.

Ya, it should have been fixed by now. Apple has been doing this right for years. Google has yet to get it. And the worst part is Google should be better acquainted with email services in the first place!

I came from a Nexus 4 and I have large hands (can easily palm a basketball). For one handed use, it is definitely too big. Trying to reach app icons in the top left corners, confirmation checks (like assigning wall papers), etc., are just too much of a strain. Touching the home button and then without adjusting you grip going and touching the top left corner is nearly impossible. The only way is strain and grip adjustment.

I have the Note 2. I love that phone ,but I always suffer from New Gadget Envy. Would agree with your points. The N5 screen on a Note 2, weighing the same as a Note 3 would be lovely.I would say the Note 3, but from what I have heard it has a loud, but crappy speaker.

Will be sending the N5 back. The NotSoLoudspeaker is the killer for me.I wasnt expecting Note 2 volume, but this is just ridiculous.Although saying that, it is very weird, some things sounds WAY quieter, others sound not so quiet. Its a shame because aesthetically I really like the phone, and I like the way it fits in the hand.

Yeah, if you try using a Note for a year, you'll think the Nexus is tiny.. lol.

I try and set up swipe gestures as much as possible to avoid adjusting my grip and straining to reach certain areas. It doesn't always work but it definitely helps. For example, I use an app called Swapps and am able to open any app with a swipe from the left side of the screen.

I've heard people complain about the Note 3 speaker but I think its plenty loud and clear. Haven't had any issues with it. The Nexus though.. wish it was a liiiiittle bit louder.

I almost ordered this case for my Note 3 but ended up canceling the order based on other peoples reviews. Slippery back, outer frame cracking, cut outs not properly aligned, etc..

Did anyone test the wifi hotspot on their Nexus 5 and if so, how is it working out? Any disconnects? How is the range? Can you make calls while maintaining a working wifi tether?

Sorry that I keep ranting about this in various threads but I'm greedy and really want to find the perfect alternative to paying extra for LTE on my future tablet(s). :D

Yes you can make phone calls while maintaining wifi tether.

Had my Nexus 5 for 48 hours now, and coming from an iPhone 5 there are things I love already, but a few issues for sure.

1) The speaker is sometimes incredibly loud, other times you can barely hear it.
2) The camera is extremely slow compared to my iPhone 5.
3) Hangouts is a bit backward.

Otherwise, I'm really liking Android and the larger screen, so let's see how the next few days go. I may just sell/return the Nexus 5 and get a different Android phone.

I'm torn on this. I just think it's too big. Wish they were sold somewhere in stores in the UK so I could try one. Which phone is closest to it size wise? G4?

I wish Moto X was available in the UK. So so annoying that it isn't. Great battery life, good size, nice looking phone.

Here's a side by side with the the Moto X, HTC One, and S4. Looks like its pretty similar to the HTC One.

It's a great size, mate.

Coming from an iPhone 5 to this felt a little unnatural at the start, but I've had it 2 days and already love the size. Similar to the Samsung S4, pretty much. It is very light and the screen/bezels are fantastic.

The issues I'm having are the camera and speaker. That's what it making my uncertain for now.

That's a bit of a bummer. How is everyone else's exerience with this?

I really want a phone that can snap a focused shot fast. Even if that means slightly worse picture quality. One of the reasons I'm currently test-driving my old 4S and considering a 5s instead of my Note 2.

Yeah it's a real bummer, but apparently Google reckon it's a software fix - and that should come pretty soon. I can imagine that to be true.

I agree, my iPhone 5 is just brilliantly to quickly switch on, point, focus, shoot. It can do all that in the time the Nexus 5 takes to bloody get to the camera!

But think Google could fix it pretty simply. The image quality is just fine.
