Anyone using a wireless charger or planning on picking one up? Any recommendations? The sooner I can quit plugging and unplugging this cable, the better.
Sounds like a carrier/settings issue. Rarely (if ever) is this anything else.

I've already tried both APNs that came with the Nexus 5 for AT&T. Also tried moving over to 3G but nothing is working. Is there anything else for me to try that you can think of?

So I rang Google HQ in Dublin. I managed to get the extension number of someone who might be able to help me, and got put through. They were very helpful as much as they could be - but yes indeed 'there is no way for Irish customer to purchase a Nexus 5 other than third party websites with inflated prices'....
There are apparently lots of internal memos going about the Dublin HQ about this situation. I said to them do they not want to support even Irish Developers by at least offering the Nexus 5 via direct with them so at least is was available on a small scale. Is it not madness to be shipping phones to the UK for sale from Ireland, processing the payment from Ireland and having the whole distribution network from Ireland - and yet as an Irish consumer I'm unable to get one ?
Really you have to question Google as a 21st century 'global' business when it can't even look after its doorstep.
You are currently looking at paying 500-550 for the 16GB Nexus 5 in Ireland from third party scalpers - when in Germany, France, Spain you can pay 349 or UK £299 direct from Google who process your order in Ireland... aghhhhhh......

Well you can buy mine at cost price if you like (just add shipping from London to Ireland).
That'll stick it to The Man.
I suspect that's exactly why they can't sell them there. Sucks.

Well, it's not also a battery like the other recommended one, but the white Nokia Qi charger is a lot cheaper and works great - it's what I've been using (the other colors work the same, obviously, but white is a fair bit cheaper at the moment).

I had that on the n4, but my n5 has not had that problem yet. IIRC, it is caused from the thermal paste
Can anyone give me some opinions on the screen? Are the whites truly white? How does it compare to the iPhone and HTC One? Thanks!

I'm actually going to the North (Belfast) at the end of the month to do some christmas shopping so I will likely just pick one up from CarPhoneWarehouse whilst I'm there. They have them in Stock now but again won't post from Belfast to the republic ! arghhh

Oh ? Maybe they only have the last of them in stock in the Belfast store ? They definitely told me they had a few of them in today. Hope it isn't a case that when I do go up they are gone. Must try and find out if this is limited ?

Bizarrely enough I'm now starting to love my Nexus 5 even more.
Getting used to the camera took a couple of days but it's actually better than I thought. And the speaker thing seems ok too.
I think I'm gonna keep it and sell my iPhone 5!!!
I downloaded ChompSMS but had problems, so the developer emailed me a beta version which works with KitKat. MMs works as well (I received a group chat this morning from my iphone friends).

So looks like Best Buy will be releasing the Nexus 5 tomorrow - and it will cost $449 for the 16 GB off contract.
My question is - since they price match to Amazon, why wouldn't they price match to Google Play? My GS4 just sold so I'm kinda in phone limbo atm.....still gonna be another 3-4 weeks before I get mine from the Play Store and my order hasn't even processed yet (4 days after making it).
I might go in and ask and report back - unless someone else already has tried?
EDIT: Looks like this is only for the Sprint variant......ugh. Oh well. Guess I'll be waiting a while then.
