Did they give you a full refund?
I got all of my money back minus a $45 fee.

Also, as a company, Google has really been doing some admirable things like:
* taking a stand agianst Chinese censorship (and espionage if you want to take a more cynical approach)
* making big pushes in wireless and internet access policies towards consumers
* launching innovative ocean - related products that have no revenue generating ability but do increase awareness of environmental issues
* launching bike maps
*pushing an open net (and smartphone industry)
etc. etc.
So even after all this difficulty i went through with my first Nexus One, I still want to give them a chance. I might just take the plunge a second time and hope my device functions correctly.....

by the same token, they've trampled on the privacy rights with their buzz social networking site. Many of their EULAs have wording to use your data/images/documents perpetually for their own purposes. While I think they're doing some good things, their do no evil is marketing mumbo jumbo. Kudos to them for standing up to China though.
the Nexus one has failed. it was a fun experiment but no one wants to pay full price and still have to pay full price for the plan.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)
I can't ever imagine not using Android as my Smartphone OS but OS4 will give me some nice new things to do on my iPod Touch.

iPhone OS 4 Compatibility
iPhone OS 4 will work with iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, and the second- and third-generation iPod touch this summer, and with iPad in the fall. Not all features are compatible with all devices. For example, multitasking is available only with iPhone 3GS and the third-generation iPod touch (32GB and 64GB models from late 2009).
One thing I would like to see if the Android haters keep on about the G1 not having Android 2.1 now that the original iPhone and the iPod touch aren't getting an OS 4.0 update?

Will varying OS versions no longer be an issue?![]()
Well, the difference is that Apple isn't still selling the older versions. They are doing this to make people upgrade their phones.![]()
Absolutely flabbergasted that there is no new notification system. Disappointed with no ability to add widgets. What is important to Apple is a game center and additional revenue for them (iAds). There is no doubt that I will be getting a Nexus One. I have outgrown the iPhone and need something for a more advanced user. I guess you can't blame apple for targeting the larger and more simplistic user base.
In one sort of twisted sort of way, I'm not entirely surprised. Disappointed yeah but not surprised. Apple has not reworked the UI and modifying the notification system I beleive will require that. Heck, the multitasking with the running shelf doohicky seems kind of kludgie. It pushes everything up just to show what's running. How would the interface look if they added something for notifications. It would be far from clean and simple

Wow. All the Android defects on a MacRumors forum bashing the iPhone to justify their purchase. Lol. That is hilarious!
They are all phones people. Get over it. Go plant a tree or something then come back and argue over who has the biggest one.![]()
OMG LOL! U r soooo rite. I cnt bleeeve that Appel would dare give us such a MEH updayt? amirte???? I meen they shood have givn us a radio app or a coffee maykr? amirite??Honestly, 4.0 seems like it should have been a 3.2 update. Lol. I'm not saying its a bad update, but its just blah...lol. Most of the stuff the iPhone got is already on Android 2.1. Lol.
