That N1 seemed very unstable for you which I know can become very irritating. I wouldn't be able to deal with that either. I like the, "just works" of the iPhone capabilities. Still waiting for hands on videos for the N1 for AT&T. Surprised one isn't out yet.

I would suspect that there isn't much to show off. It's the same phone and same OS as before.

I'm guessing the 3G connection is much quicker then shown on the 3G connection on the videos for the tmobile version. I'd just like to see how the safari speed compares to the 3GS speed on AT&T. It's going to be a close one I'm thinking.

A hands on video for the T-Mobile version would be applicable. The AT&T version is the same, just different 3G frequency support.

I put my iPhone SIM in a cheap flip phone when I go out to bars to "minimize risk" :D

Ahhhh the drunkphone.... :p I have one for that purpose too and I keep forgetting to use it, and it would really cut back on my "durnk" texting.

I also would be interested in hearing people's experiences with the Nexus One. Honestly, I somewhat hate my iPhone right now specifically of the battery.

yeah i know that thread. I STARTED IT. :D

This is a NEW article. this is the 2nd time a malware was found on the HTC Magic.

What the heck is wrong with you? I'm not sure if you're an idiot, or a troll who just likes to spread FUD!

It was not found "on the HTC Magic" Someone loaded it on an SD card that was put into the HTC Magic. The HTC Magic can't run the virus or even infect other people. It was installed on the SD Card so it would run on any Windows computer. This same SD card could have been found in a camera or even a Wii! OMG!!! DON"T BUY ANY DIGI-CAMS! MAY BE VIRUZ!!!

Still not sure it is worth $529.99 especially with the support problems Google has created for themselves, also having to call Google only for support or send it in to Goolge just does not give me that warm and Fuzzy, not that Apple is perfect, but I am comfortable where I am with my iPhone and AT&T right now.

It has not hit AT&T's website yet, so I guess it is still only exclusive thru T-Mobile right now, I wonder when it will hit everywhere.

Whoop de doo. I ran a speed test on my N1 last night and hit a speed of 3.8mbps, twice as fast as Verizon's speed in that article.

i completely agree. cell phone coverage will varry so much that the actual speeds at your home/work location will be much more important than the average. You're better off asking a friend with different service to measure the signal strength and even then, you'll have differences between phones on how well they can utilize the signal. EVEN THEN, you'll have differences in bandwidth depending on time of day if more people are talking at one hour...

It's not going to hit AT&T's website. It's an unlocked phone being sold by Google that's just "compatible" with AT&T's network :)

I don't think Apple would be very keen on their business partner advertising the N1...

Tough *** for Apple. The iPhone isn't the only phone AT&T sells, and I expect that eventually AT&T will get a good Android device like the HTC Desire and they will advertise it.

I don't see AT&T advertising the N1 because it's not a phone they're selling, but AT&T will be selling more Android devices later this year.

but by the same token, AT&T shouldn't stop selling other phones because they carry the iPhone - yeah they need to tread lightly but not so much that they start putting themselves behind the 8 ball.

Well we don't know the terms of their agreement. I suspect that the only reason that At&t has just now finally gotten a DUMBED DOWN version of any Android phone (Moto Backflip) that there must be something going on...

Also, considering the iPhone is one of the MAJOR reasons why At&t is doing so well, I don't think they want to mess with it. Granted, a phone sale is a phone sale to them, they like having the exclusivity agreement with Apple and I doubt they want to jeopardize their option on that for the next go-around.

Business is business. I just don't think that it's going to happen... If At&t was going to "support" the N1, they'd be offering it through their website subsidized as well.

it was a brand new phone.

it was a brand new phone.

So? That's totally irrelevant. Someone put the SD card in and put in one loaded with Malware! It didn't morph from the device itself. It was inserted by human hands. If the packaging was never opened, then this was done by someone at Vodaphone. Who knows where along the line it happened.

The point is that it's irrelevant to the fact that the device is an Android phone.

doesnt matter if its brand new or not.

the point is, this is more likely to happen on android phones than on iphones.

android is an "open" platform. expect sh$%&t like this to happen.

Sure.. because the iPhone doesn't have an SD card slot. Heck, I can put an SD card in my PC and get it infected. I can then take that same card and put it in my Garmin Nuvi. That doesn't mean my Garmin Nuvi has or is able to be infected by a virus.

I wasn't the one who brought up that it was brand new, you did. So you're arguing irrelevant things with more irrelevant things that even contradict each other.

You don't understand... Android has NOTHING to do with this incident! My Canon PowerShot doesn't have an "open" platform but has the exact possibility of this happening!

My God! Don't buy a Mac! Or any computer for that matter! Maybe someone plugged a USB stick into it or put in an infected DVD!

Your logic is flawed in every aspect except that this can't happen on the iPhone. But there is no reason anyone should "expect sh$%&t like this to happen" at all.

And just put in Time Out. :) He just runs around posting links that all seem to focus on bashing Google. He's more frustrating than pcsarejunk! ;)

Thank god for that. We can't even have a good discussion about the iPhone's competitors without him crapping all over the thread with his FUD and BS.

They didn't sell that many on verizon. Being on AT&T won't help Nexus One.

The problem is, Google has NO number for support. You have to wait and wait and wait for email response, measured in day, not minutes.
