what I meant was, yes the iPhone has a lot of glass and they tend to be careful with their phones. yes it is rather fragile, but c'mon, you all know it is a far superior product than the droid phones.

:apple:

Your idiotic closed minded thinking does not speak for the rest of us apple fans.

It's funny you talk about "taking care of their stuff". Just out of curiosity, would that involve covering all that beautiful glass and metal with cheap rubber and plastic? Hmm...

I have a 4 and a 3gs, no cases, no problems

Ok, so you are an Apple fan and use a droid phone, sorry to hear that.

I just don't understand why someone would want a phone bigger than 4 inches flat. Ill admit 3.5 inches does seem rather small these days but lets be real 3.5 inches wasn't even an issue before HTC started throwing out these giant screens.

What I see in android now is that they are maturing as an OS. Its becoming more fluid, the screens are beautiful, but they still have a ways to go if they intend on gaining customers who are ecosystem aware.

It's impossible for android to get customers like myself to committ because I'm in tuned with what iOS has to offer and am not willing to give apples A class hardware up for cheap materials. It's comfort in knowing that the phone and OS I choose is supported by so many brands and companies. When I watch tv, I'm constantly seeing ads, commercials, and plugs telling me to download this app and download that app. These apps being advertised are always iOS apps. They are never android apps or windows apps. My phone and my OS is and will always be the best because it's able to offer me more as a consumer and provides me a stable environment to be entertained in and be productive in. It may never be the biggest or the fastest, but it's definitely the only one that the world can't live without.

Cheap materials? C-mon dude, the iPhone is made in friggin China!!!!!!!!! They didnt bring the plastic and all the parts from the USA just so the China people can just slap it together. Are you really serious with that? The glass on it shatters into a thousand pieces and the plastic on the phone prior leaked light and cracked around the edges.

I dropped my Galaxy S Vibrant the other day facedown on asphalt in a parking lot and thought it was a gonner from 4 feet up but when i picked it up, the screen protector had a few divits in it from it landing on the pebbles/small rocks that is on asphalt and the screen was fine! Now my screen protector just dont look real good now.

So please....STOP with the iphone is made from gold and titanium type BS and then say teh Samsung Galaxy S II is made of cheap materials because you guys sound real lame when you do that.

As for your App rant...who cares? There are over 250,000 Android Apps. Many of which are the same ones in iTunes and of those 250,000 Apps, i think im using about 80-90 of them. So the other thousands of them ....much like in iTunes are useless to me.
You also just got Siri and the Android voice sysem works very similar and in the GS2 vs IP4S video...worked just as well and in some cases took less steps to do the same thing as Siri..
Apple is still trying to catch up and now you have to wait another year to make progress while Android has a newer, better phone coming out already in a couple months.
So i hope you enjoy seeing those comercials telling you to download this app and that app because it means nothing in the grands scheme of it all except that....NEWS FLASH...The iPhone is a popular device!

Its just not the best!

Are you serious with the cheap materials? iPhone 4 pops like a windshield hit with a spark plug from a height of 4ft. Do you recall all the cracks in the 3G and 3GS's around the 3.5mm jack, the mute button, the 30pin. FROM NORMAL USE, cracks and light leaking. Thats your definition of quality materials?

So glad I got an iPhone... for one Samsung hardware sucks. After a year with a Captivate, I don't want anything to do with them. Secondly, a 4.65" screen? I have huge hands, and that would be unusable for me. The iPhone just feels right in my hands and pocket (once it has a case).

"Samsung hardware sucks"............................................................................................

Seriously? Samsung provides some of the hardware for the iPhone.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Wait.

You have big hands, but you have to use small things? Hmmmm....

Someone with huge hands claiming small things just feel right in them......probably don't wanna brag about that one.

Ouch.

Owned both nexus and nexus s. Loved both phones. I've also owned an iPhone since 3G and now own an iPhone 4s. Android is a wonderful os when it comes to being open source. Every app can integrate with the phone, which makes it far superior than iPhone apps on iOS.

iOS is extremely polished compared to android, no doubt, but lacks integration. Also, if you've held a nexus s and compared it with an iPhone, you'll note that the extra .5 inch screen on the nexus s, curved screen, and ergo design goes a long way when it comes to comfort on your hand.

iPhone's design is beautiful, but the the design isn't the most ergonomic.

So there is no subjectivity when it comes down to what is visually pleasing to a given person? If someone says a screen with a slightly higher PPI is less pleasing then they are bat **** crazy and need education on sharpness?. That's what I'm getting at.

If they are talking strictly about more PPI being LESS pleasing? Yes. Less is never more. Strictly speaking PPI.

If you are debating the OLED vs other LCD tecnology, thats different and more subjective. For example I hear people say that iP4 colors are washed out compared to Samsung OLED displays, while others would say Samsung displays are known for over-saturation and poor color fidelity. Not just talking phones here either. Whats subjective is that even if that were true, someone might prefer "over-saturated" colors or the "washed out" iphone 4 colors, and that's fine.

But all other things be EQUAL, no one, no one, will feel less PPI is BETTER than more. End of story.

iPhone's design is beautiful, but the the design isn't the most ergonomic.

This I agree with 100%. Most beautiful phone apple ever made? Yes. But I upgraded to that from an original, and one of the first things I noticed was how much less ergonomic it was compared to my old iPhone, and 7 months with it hasn't changed that feeling in the slightest.

It CAN make for a superior app experience. In theory.

Yeah, but Apple design it and put it together, and they're pretty good at that, as is Motorola, and the now basically gone Nokia and RIM. Samuck and Pantech not so much, LG's sort of in the middle. I like the Optimus V.

Wow, you missed the point. Apple does the overall industrial design and parts sourcing. When Samsuck designs a device, it's atrocious. They are also the only manufacturer to have ever used their own bad RAM, which caused the random shut down issue on the Captivate. They also have awful RF.

According to you. The other 50 million or so dont agree. I guess Apple dont either since they use Samsung parts that Samsung designs. Nice try though.
I have the same phone as the Captivate but mine is the Vibrant and i have never had that issue. Maybe you were holding it wrong  :D

Im not a Samsung nut by any means but when i see BS, i call it.

which is why its the lightest phone out, causing it to break less if you drop it

This jca guy is an obvious Apple troll.

To your point, did you ever take physics? Everything falls at the same speed to the ground unless you add force to it, sorry.

so people complain about plastic phones but then I see everyone using plastic phone casesand rubber skins.. hmm
