You need to use a tripod or you have to lean the phone up against something sturdy. Any sense of movement and the camera will drop to 3 seconds.

I am impressed, only 2 sec exposure with my shaking hands

yes! very nice city, I really enjoy night mode + ultra wide camera. I took all daylight photos with 0.5x :D

Nice! post more if you.

Speaking of taking photos, do you guys shoot in 4:3 or with 16:9 as this is the new option.

I agree that the pictures look awesome BUT at the same time I can see grain and blur in most of them. So I guess tripod is a must for good quality photo.
Essentially, it just seems like a quick snap and then pump the exposure in post process.
For a pocket phone though I agree that its awesome but its still not there. The grain on some is really awful

yep, but that's the best I can get with 2 seconds exposure with my shaking hands, what can I do.. :D

yes, I know that, but I think my answer can reffer to all others too, without stand it's so hard to take perfect night photo, almost impossible

It's amazing how far these night modes have come. In 2006 I had a Sony Cyber-Shot just like the one below. Surely I could jack up the exposure, but the photo would come invariably a blurry mess unless the camera was 100% still on a smooth surface.

I had a Sony Cybershot! It was a fancy one that would project this red laser grid in the dark before it took a shot to help it focus. It's crazy how far night photography has come.

I’m generally impressed with Night Mode, though it does take a little practice, to keep the hands still for a few seconds, to play with exposure time, etc. And there’s still a bit of distortion around lights, but all in all a huge improvement over my iPhone 8.
