"Internet of things" really is synonymous with solutions for problems that don't exist.
Really? What did people say 50 years ago about automatic transmissions? A problem that does not exist?Interesting, but it's a solution to a problem that doesn't really exist. We're pretty good at adjusting our shoes manually.
Dude, people already get jacked (even killed) for their $150 “kicks”. What do you think will happen to people wearing these $350 shoes in public??

This is just the beginning guys.
Imagine you have your hands full, can easily slip into your wide open shows which sense the pressure and close/tighten up automatically. And when you come home, they sense the charging mat or a sensor and open automatically again.
So many possibilities: Leds, warning lights in the night/traffic, analyzing your every step, vibrating with new messages, massaging, electro stimulation, heating, cooling, ...![]()
In a world with limited resources, we shouldn't be making **** like this.
I'm not anti-tech. But I think we should be thoughtful about what we buy/use.
Shoving lithium-ion batteries and motors into a pair of disposable shoes is obscene.
For professionals, it's one thing...
...but if I see 15 year olds and fat ****** who don't play any sports - let alone basketball - wearing these then I will weep for the world.
about time for us to invent lightspeed briefsWhats the next item I will have to charge? My underwear?
or they could just retie their shoe....Are they supposed to be fumbling around with their phones during timeouts?
For example, during a timeout, a player can loosen the shoe before tightening it up as they re-enter the game.
I actually like them.
A daily shoe, would have been preferred, with loosen during car driving or public transport
Companies nowadays don’t get the right use cases. Very strange people seem to work every where ....
Interesting how you consider tapping a few times on a screen fumbling but not tying a shoelace.
Funny you say that...every time i watch a game an NBA star is losing his shoe. It happened last night with Anthony Davis..too crazy! http://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=25764709The first thing I thought of is a fan hacking into the shoes of the opposite team to loosen them at a crucial point in the game. ;-)
