I have 5g according the Verizon map. But after talking to tech support from Verizon. They took my address. And concluded. Even though the map says I have coverage. That I am in a “problem area“ for them. And that my speeds would just be way slower. Till I go somewhere else. At least they admitted my service sucks where I live. But now I am seriously considering switching.

well shoot, it’s like should we even believe the coverage map now

Can we all agree, 5G won’t be sh%t till end of next year/2022 and we shouldn’t care about it! Lol

In the USA, maybe. Other countries going NSA sub6 first rather than jumping straight to mmWave will see (have already seen) big jumps in speed in 5G areas.

My 5G is worse than LTE too. I’d assume I just have a LTE tower much closer to me. I’m going to be a little here, there, and everywhere today, including some spots with UW 5G. I’m curious to see how it works out in he world and not just sitting on my couch.

An update, UW 5G is really, really fast, but yeah, nationwide 5g appears to be 100% marketing. I had thought VZW was trying to stay away from that
