I am one more victim of ios 7

I recently became a victim of ios 7.

Are they going to do the same thing that is flatten design for Mac desktops an laptops too?

We all love apple products because of steve jobs design and these guys now in apple are messing up with the design.

I am sure they don't really know why apple consumers love apple products.
Apple products stand out only because of its design.

I am trying to sell my iphone with ios 7 and buy a used iphone with ios 6 (the great design that we all loved apple for).

I am going to use this used ios 6 iphone until apple reverts back to steve jobs design.
If apple does not revert back...this will become the last iPhone that I bought from apple...even if apple brings super computing iphone in the future.

If apple doesn't revert back to the previous design..then there is no way I am going to buy another iPhone.

These guys are coming up with this ios 7 adapted statistics, which is a big joke.

First they upgrade my iphone with ios 7, without even giving a warning on the drastic crappy design change ...and then they say I can't get back to the good old design.....So they lock me up in the "stinking ios 7 jail" and count me as a person who adapted to ios 7.

Ironic.

You upgraded your phone. Apple did not force you to upgrade.

There was a huge amount of information about the design changes of iOS 7 online prior to release. Also, the design change was noted in the update release notes.

If you don't like the design change that is your prerogative, but the claims that apple forced you to upgrade and that there was no information about a design change are false.

This is the only point in your argument that could be argued is valid. I would not have a problem with people being allowed to revert to previous iOS versions.

I'm interested to see this movement/boycott's effect on next QTR earnings. Powerful people here threatening to not buy devices...

Thank you. Not only are people completely over-exaggerating things, they're flat out lying and trying to blame Apple for "upgrading their phone without me knowing what would happen." Grow up.

But Apple does download the updates wasting space on your device without your permission or a straightforward way to get rid of it. Not the same thing exactly, but something related.
 
The longer one sticks to ios6 the more apps will stop working.
I stopped upgrading the OS on my iPad a while back because it is an iPad 1 and it could not handle the upgrades. Now most of my apps do not work.
hope my iPad Air will arrive soon.

Apple started allowing owners to download older versions of apps if the newer version does not work with your current iOS version.

Many apps still work fine on my original iPad with iOS 5. Sure, there are newer versions of some of them that aren't available, but the existing versions for iOS 5 (or below) usually still work fine.

With iOS 6 it will be even less of an issue as more apps will still support it for a while more and more will have compatible versions for a long time most likely.

tell me, who the heck was holding my last 2gb of space on my iphone hostage until i press the update button??

Yourself included pal. It's strength in numbers. I think apple has more than a challenge with today's Android devices... More like a serious threat.

Yeah, that is a lousy thing for them to do. Auto-downloading a hard to remove file without user consent (especially one as large as the iOS 7 update) is unacceptable.

While it is crappy that the update file for iOS 7 is auto-downloaded regardless of whether the user wants it it not, Apple still did not force you to update your software.

What are you talking..why would consumers go and check online or release notes...you need to understand 90 percent of the consumers don't care about that...coz they trust apple and the belief, that steve jobs design would be intact, makes them to trust apple.

When I get an alert to upgrade to ios 7, is there any info about the drastic crappy design change?

Well, at least they tells you there is new UI. You should at least checked online. If you simply ignore it, then it is your problem.

That is being said, there is no way to tell real impression without actually getting on hand with it and you can never guaranty if everything will work. So given user a option to revert back is necessary.

Have you ever seen such a backlash from consumers?
Everybody is disappointed and angered....but couldn't do anything because apple is not allowing them to revert back...which is like forcing you to stay on ios 7.

Its not about ios 6 at all...its about the pleasant and good to the eyes design that steve jobs gave to the world which directly impacted great companies like blackberry and nokia to bite the dust.

This great design has earned billions for apple.
Flattening the design, let them try do the same thing to Mac OS...you will see where apple would be heading in future.

Earlier there were issues with maps...but people never reacted so angrily ..because they had alternatives like google maps...I never bothered about any of the previous issues at all.
But this flat design sucks. This made me to subscribe to this site.

I lived a life telling people apple iphone is the best compared to android or any others....but I can't do that any more...this ios 7 is just like any other android stuff.

iPhone with ios 7 doesn't stand out anymore compared to others. Can't be proud of having iPhone anymore.

I hope someone knocks some sense into apple leadership and tell them how flat design will hurt apple in the future.

A happy ending is what all apple fans needs and that is possible by going back to the great steve jobs design.

One simple example I will give you ...when you use iphone dial pad..while typing the numbers with just one hand...if I wanted to delete a number ...like you typed 409 instead of 408 and you want to delete that 9....the delete symbol "x" used to be right there at the bottom for you to use your thumb and delete it easily. Now go and check ios 7 and see where it is.

That's the genius steve jobs who thought through all these things and gave a perfect design for all of us which is pleasant and pleasing to the eye.

They apologized for apple maps ...which was not really a big deal for many as there were alternatives available.

Now they are not even opening their mouths after delivering the biggest design debacle which could potentially hurt apple big time in the future.

It's been over a month since iOS 7 was released to the public and we're still dealing with people who can't get over the design changes. Because everything needs to stay the same. There are bugs, yes. There are quirks. There are always going to be bugs and quirks. You learn to adapt and you learn to move on which, clearly, many people are not capable of doing.

Apple has nothing to apologize for despite what many of you think. If you aren't happy with iOS 7 and their design choices, sell your iDevices and get an Android or Windows Phone and move on.

We are apple fans...Why should we not tell what is good for apple?
We should move to android?? Just because two or three people in apple misguiding the entire apple leadership, we should move android? we should fight against these two people who gave us the crappy design and pretending that these issues are common.

Its not we who has to move away from apple...but these two or three people in apple (who are misguiding on design changes) needs to move out of apple to android and let their crappy design infect android
