Sensible people support the plight for freedom (of choice) and are against tyranny and stupidity of any sort, including Apple's. Just saying.

lol ok...

I hate the macrumors look and feel... It is ugly... I want them to change it... C'mon can you help me start a movement for it...? If they do I will join all your movements...

I think if most of you guys were allowed to go back to 6.1.3 you would be disappointed! Performance wise maybe not but I believe apple will fix the issue for iPhone 4! They did fix it for iPhone 3GS with 6.1.3, before that the 3GS had real performance issues and the last updated saved it.

You would miss the fresh face of iOS 7, it looks really great and clean IMO

You are right mate about iOS 7.... as are the whiners who don't like it.... Each to their own...

But wait until iOS 8, then people will be whining how they are not allowed to go back to iOS 7....

This will just carry on from one iOS to another...

For me, I was simply curious about one user johnothy, who is savvy enough to come on to MR and complain about his dislike for iOS 7, but in the 2 months that iOS 7 is out, he hadn't done his homework to find out if he liked iOS 7 before he pressed the update button....

I mean, what can you say....

If your post is deleted by Moderators - I applaud your brave insanity :D

I know it's always the same! I guess now everyone wants iOS 6 but a year ago they wanted iOS 5 because iOS 6 took google maps away... Here we go again...

If MR ever changes their L&F significantly, while also breaking some functionality of the site without giving the users the option to roll back, I'll be the first to support your movement.

You have missed my point, as you are obviously arguing in favour of Apple again. The point is that by releasing software with flaws and preventing downgrades or factory resets, Apple is diminishing the user experience for some of its customers and is therefore part of the problem. It is besides the point that these users could have ventured into the web and read plenty of reviews, because Apple is equally responsible for the problem. Apple has not made this clear at all, this concept of signing firmware is probably unknown to most iOS users, in a time where many other electronic appliances can be restored to factory settings. This idea of virtually hardwired software is something Apple only introduced after the first versions of iOS.

Do not forget that especially Apple appeals to less-tech-savvy users who often do not know better. You are imposing a standard of prudency on customers that would fit more with Android users.

Both of your posts have been well stated.

Yup, talking about proper ways of upgrading or anything else related to upgrading still takes away absolutely nothing from the value of being able to downgrade. The two are separate concepts, yet that seems to go completely over the heads of some.

I know!

Fine, when apple has got IOS working well then stop signing. Why do I need to be a beta tester for Apple.

Allow me to go back to IOS 6 and when IOS 8 lets us down, I will whine that I cannot go back to IOS 6.

At the very least Apple should continue to sign IOS 6 until at least the first MAJOR IOS 7 upgrade. That seems reasonable. Its also an incentive for them to move their butts and fix the issues quickly.

I DONT WANT TO BE AN APPLE TESTER.

BTW...I would guess that 99% of the IOS users dont have the faintest idea about OS signing from apple.

Couldn't agree more with you there - 99% have no idea and are out there using their phones without moaning......

It's just the........

Up untill the last update I could somehow live with the hideousness of the new iOS...but the new iBooks was the
last drop.
I really cannot imagine how a designer, in his right mind could have a look at THIS and say: Yeah, boys that'll do, ship it!
I was seriously concidering buying a Retina mini and not because I needed it but because I thought reading on it would be delightful experience.

Now with the snowblinding white ugliness of the new version, I am decidedly off to Galaxy Note 3, I am sorry...

But the Note 3 has smaller screen

I will also be leaving the iPhone behind shortly. I've had darn near every model since the original, along with the iPods, iPads, notebooks and desktops. iOS 7 (IMO) is just awful. Not only is it ugly but it is extremely hard to use and that is not just a "getting used to it" problem. Apple has turned a nice looking, good working OS into an artsy P.O.S. (again IMO).

As soon as my AT&T plan is eligible for an upgrade I'll be off to the dark side of Android... something I have been against for a long time. Had I known what iOS 7 would be like, I would have never upgraded.

Over 40 pages in this thread is certainly proof of that, rite?

Assuming each comment in those forty pages are supportive, and separate people, you've got the support of 1000 people, which is zero percent of the 600,000,000+ iOS users. Your movement is a failure, and always will be a failure.

When did I suddenly have a movement of some sort that I posted about?
