Yup mine went from not shipped to prepared for shipment and back to not shipped over the weekend, and then canceled on Monday. Hope you guys have better luck than I did.

If their going to cancel my order, I wish they just get on with it. I'll save my $3000 and just keep my Virgin $5 a month plan.
Still says not shipped. No change in status or contact from Apple in 9 days.
FedEx Express delivered two iPhones to others in the building this morning and FedEx Ground just left - had no iPhones.
I ordered only thru Apple, relatively early at 10:30 PST on 6/15. Did not try to order thru AT&T. I haven't found anyone else in this situation. Credit check went thru without a hitch; have account with them for the iPad.

I ended up walking to the retail store with my reservation, and cancelling my pre-order which was still at "not yet shipped" when it was supposed to have arrived today...
AT&T Premier "back-ordered"
I was promised 4-5 hours ago that I would get my phone tomorrow by 430pm, and to ignore the "back-ordered" status due to the warehouse and fedex systems being down/lagging. I was put at ease for a little while and now I'm back to being just plain MAD
since I am still on back-order.
WTF is their issue?
I think AT&T CSR's have mostly been lying to me to get me off the phone/ hopefully make me stop calling.

I'm in almost the same boat. It's 7pm here eastern time and I have no phone. I was one of the many up early on the 15th to place the order w/ AT&T and as of yet my shipping just shows as "processing". I called yesterday and was told i'll get an email as soon as it's shipped but that sure hasn't happened yet and here it is the 24th already! Good thing I woke up early to order! I felt much better standing in line the past few years and this year I just feel betrayed! Guess this whole pre-order crap didn't work out as planned for a lot of us!

Called AT&T and they said there were SIXTEEN accounts created on AT&T. Reason: On 6/15 starting when the Apple Store opened at 1am EST I spent three hours trying to place the order. Apple site kept going down and there were a variety of errors. At 4am when the Store went down completely again I gave up. At 1:30pm I tried again and when that failed, logged into my Mobile Me account within the Store, found the (single) Apple Order in my Shopping Cart and completed it. Apparently I successfully navigated the AT&T credit check 16 times.
AT&T rep deleted 15 of the accounts. Soon after, an Apple rep was able to confirm everything was okay and released the hold. Today we received an emil from Apple confirming.
Ship date is now "by July 2nd". I.e., it will be shipped (from Taiwan?) next week and arrive 6/29 & 7/8.
