I could if mine weren’t stuck in Incheon KR .. I’m one of those stuck with a 7:19pm scan.. I know scans can be delayed sometimes but I’m starting to doubt my Monday delivery date. Very tempted to walk in and try getting one. I’m IUP and I don’t mind starting a new loan and closing the other when it arrives. I’m just not sure they would let me.
I know, I keep wanting to hear about someone else doing this successfully before I try.

Or, we could all just find other activities to occupy our time until Monday. You know, stuff like hobbies, family, friends, etc.

I played with the iPhone X the Apple Store last night (Its SO awesome!) in the hopes that this would take the edge off my anxious waiting. Instead, it only made it worse!

Going to stop checking UPS, and take my mind off this for the next 24 hours.
Actually, playing with the X yesterday, while heightening my excitement for the device, also kinda satisfied some of my curiosity and impatience. I totally don't mind waiting-- I think it's uncertainty that drives some of us nuts a bit, haha. Good call though-- plenty to do to keep busy and productive. Time passes more quickly.

At least none of the stores near me have them. I'd have to drive 160 miles. I haven't had any update - UPS is still showing 11/6 even though no departure scan from Incheon. I too got the notice from UPS about the trade in kit for delivery Tuesday and my heart sank until I realized that it wasn't for my phone. First world problems!

The issue with starting a new loan is what happens with the old loan - assuming you have an existing 7 or 7 Plus under the IUP. Apple pays off the reminder when you buy a new phone to replace the old one that was covered. If you return the phone when it finally arrives, it will be as if you never bought it and Apple will withdraw their covering that old loan. You will still be responsible for the remaining payments for the 7 or 7 Plus.

Mine did very very early this morning (6:30) but decided to be patient. All reserved by now, nothing available. I'm surprised other people still see stock available locally.

Both my phones still in Korea. Losing hope for a 11/6 delivery. Unbelievable. Have friends that were hoping for a phone in December and just walked into a store and bought them. Crazy.

Well, if you hang on to preordered one initially, return the iPhone 7 immediately to satisfy the balance of the prior year's loan, and then return the preordered phone within the return window, wouldn't both loans end up being paid off? I guess I'd have to read the fine print (doh) of the iUP program to see if there's a penalty for doing so.

Just got an email from ups my choice saying delivery 11/7. So it must really be stuck in Korea. But the UPS app says delivery on the 6 th and still in Korea.

I have both email and text alerts setup in my choice and haven’t seen any notification. Do you have the regular mychoice or the premium? App still shows 11/6. I put a request in on Thursday for them to be held at the customer service center; not sure that has anything to do with it.

The email was actually referring to the upgrade kit, not the phone.

Doesn't it sometimes happen that some packages miss scans? I mean it's not the most typical, but I've had packages have no updates and then suddenly get delivered.

That might work. Interesting idea.

Agree completely.

We went on all the reports that the phone would be in extremely short supply and except for the lucky few, most would have to wait weeks, even into 2018 to get their phones.

Based on that, we did the smart thing and more effective than the great majority to go through the process and get among the earliest of those pre-ordered and shipped. We had no way to know that the shortage reports were false and did the smartest based on available information. The frustration is the reports were false and others who did not put out the effort we did early can now easily get the phones.

To put things in perspective, had the reports been true and the masses were wanting the phones with very few available, I bet we would not mind the glitches we are seeing with UPS.

It is fun to obsess a bit, but the suggestion to enjoy life in the meantime is a good advice.

I already listed my 7+ on eBay a few days ago so I’ll be paying off the old loan either way.

hmm I did a hold request on Thursday too. I always hold for pick up and it never delays anything. Have any of the 7:19’s seen movement? I know some of the 7:26’s have.

I'm a 7:19 and nothing. Nil. Nada.

Nice-- as long as it satisfies the loan, it just required the bit of extra work to sell the phone yourself. Don't forget to cancel the remaining AppleCare+ (or maybe you're offering that as part of the sale... forgot you could do that.)

One reason I like the idea of iUP is that I've always bought the highest capacity of any given model available, and traditionally there's been 3 tiers, the top being a good $200 more than the base. Seems like the top capacity model takes the biggest hit on value in the resale market. iUP just takes the uncertainty out of the residual value, which could depend a lot on what Apple's next phone looks like in terms of specs.

So if we are still showing arrival an Incheon and nothing else, should we give up hope that we just missed some scans at this point since others we started out with have had scans in the US beyond Anchorage? Or is it still possible?

I think anything is possible. I still think it is easier to miss scans than accidentally leave a bunch of phones on the tarmac while the plane pulls away. I suppose another possibility is the plane was filled to capacity and they were deliberately left behind. Who knows?

That would certainly be one way to handle it. One of the advantages of IUP was to avoid eBay - assume you sell for 50% of the new purchase price, that equals Apple making 50% of the payments for your old phone. As an individual vs a business, I don't like selling on eBay because of the possible issues with dishonest buyers, etc.

The other advantage of IUP is it is easy to justify upgrading each year.

You can relax you will be getting your phone on Monday. The ups site isn’t as accurate as it should be.

Maybe things were simpler/better in the days before real-time tracking. You just went about your day until Mr. Brown Pants showed up at your door.

Tracking progress has become one of the most fun aspects of the delivery hype, at least for me.

I don’t know if I believe these phones just missed scans or that the UPS site isn’t updating. The phones are probably still sitting in Korea. But there’s plenty of time to get them here for delivery on Monday. I’m confident they’ll arrive... just bummed that I’m waiting while my nearest Apple Store has the phone I want in stock for purchase now.

I am dumbfounded how we can have self driving cars but UPS cannot get their package tracking system to reliably say where my items are... It's been this unstable for years.

Well, there's a UPS flight leaving "Inch-on" in 4 hours and 20 minutes. Hopefully that will be ours!!!

LOL.. I agree!
If I can just get 1 scan showing after that 7:19 I’ll be satisfied and all faith in Monday’s delivery will be restored

I spoke with apple and they said once your item ships you can’t cancel it. So for those of us with the IUP, there’s no way to get your IUP eligibility reset to be able to pick up the phone in store. Frustrating considering every store in my state has my model available. The guy told me to be grateful that i have a shipping date so recent, yet if I had a later date I’d be able to cancel that and pick one up in store today.
