Is it safe to say that everyone from Thursday 9/25 and earlier might get it at the same time like Mon/Tuesday 9/22-23?????

Like maybe some of our scheduled delivery dates just haven't been updated yet?

Unless UPS has to leave some of the pallet containers behind on Sunday if they upload onto a smaller plane. They flew in on a 747-400 and they may want to fly that one back on the Asian route and use a 767 for the Louisville leg. Then they would prioritize the delivery dates and take the ones that have the earlier delivery dates first (like mine!).

That may be what they have planned if you don't show them having moved up your delivery date with a early delivery, it would indicate that they may be planning the scenario that I have outlined.

It's not a "safe" bet but I am betting most 9/25's will receive delivery on Tuesday.

What incredibly thorough information. And, how disappointing... Lol.

Mine (slated for Monday delivery) finally left from Zhengzhou... only stop again in Shanghai. What's the deal there? I'm worried it won't make it stateside in time

Tough to plan around a package when there is no way of knowing the actual delivery date. I had to warn my boss that I would be in late some day this week as I need to swing by UPS for pickup... "Which day?" she asks.Uhhhh.Apple says 29-1st and UPS said 23rd now says 22nd....I'm going to go with "no freakin clue" :-/
Oh well, at least I'll have it sometime this week :)

"Standard shipping" means what then? Legitimately curious.

I don't work for UPS, but have ordered a bunch from Apple. "Standard Shipping" is just the default listing. Since the phones are coming from China, it's not actually being shipped "standard."

If you bought say a pair of Beats headphones and it was being shipped from an Apple warehouse in the States, that would be shipped to you using "standard shipping." Our iPhones from China are not coming via standard, just that again, it's the default option.

It's so frustrating to see there has been no movement.

ZhengZhou, China 09/19/2014 7:10 P.M. Arrival Scan
09/19/2014 6:35 P.M. Departure Scan
09/19/2014 5:30 P.M. Location Scan
09/19/2014 12:47 P.M. Origin Scan
China 09/19/2014 9:51 A.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS

How much longer can it possibly last? :/

Wow a lot has happened. I went back a few pages and they are all from this morning.

Can anyone summarize for those of us not caught up what conclusions we have? We are tracking these using the flight tracker app and getting info from UPS employees hoping they come Monday for everyone?

Whats the summery of the relevant news?

cliff notes pls?

It is expedited. Don't pay any attention to what it says on Apples website. I work for Ups. I have seen thousands of these phones the past 2 days. They are all expedited

I wouldn't worry, the plane is going to arrive about 6:30pm Alaska time Saturday evening and the pallet containers will be off loaded to clear customs and will sit there until Sunday afternoon and will be reloaded onto a plane that will depart about 3pm Sunday afternoon and will arrive about midnight Sunday night in Louisville. Then they will be processed at the Worldport for loading on the outbound planes for Monday or Tuesday delivery.

Only issue as I noted earlier is what plane they use for the outbound leg to Louisville. They used a 747 from China and they may have to leave some pallets behind for a later flight if they use a smaller plane. So if you have an initial delivery date like the 25th, they may not move your delivery date up as much.

Wouldn't there be a departure scan from Shanghai?

I know some who is a supervisor of a center here and they said that the tracking isn't always accurate with arrival and departure scans. He said you might see a departure with an arrival post to the tracking at the same time even though the time stamps will be different. Not sure though. This is a bit odd.

Here's my UPS tracking info from China

UPS guy at depot station showed me his computer last time I was there to pick up a package and said many times the tracking history is an educated guess - there is a "logical" status on his screen which means it's an educated guess and then there is a "physical" status which means the box was actually scanned - just some trivia FWIW

I'm not holding my breath for Monday delivery - I've seen my delivery dates change several times over the span of a day from Thursday, to Wednesday, to Tuesday, to Monday so who the heck knows when it will really get here?

Mine looks almost exactly like that but I'm in NJ

Considering the 7:10s shipped on Thursday as "expedited" and are still sitting in ZhengZhou it doesn't seem very expedited lol

To satisfy my 6+ craving, I went to the Apple Store today (also to pick up the Leather case). Played around with 6+ and wow that thing is HUGE.

Can't wait for Monday!
