You could stop staring at it...![]()
Wish mine was Tuesday. STILL 9/25.
Gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with UPS if it takes them 6 freaking days to get a phone from China to USA. I know they can do better than that.![]()
I had my MBA, my iPad, and my iPhone up and ready. Kept trying on each until my iPhone finally got through. I had my wife on her iPhone too. At one point I ended up with three phones in my cart before I was able to check out, it was so flaky. Still thought I'd had gotten it in for 9/19 because that was the date when I started, but by the time I was done it had pushed back to 10/1-6. Not fun at 2am.
I know this was shot down before, but isn't it possible that they aren't rushing them out of China to ensure that they aren't being delivered before they should be based in what kind of shipping Apple paid for? Wouldn't surprise me; I know Fedex does this.
Yet another morning of my 6+ 64gb SG att 0530 EDT order still processing items. hmph

"A" phone, yes, disappointing. One MILLION phones? Not so easy.
Another morning and guess what? Still stuck in processing!! Your iPhones may be stuck in China but at least they have made it out of the manufacturing plant. Could be still processing like me!
They handle millions of packages per day, so this isn't all that different. Instead of a plane packed with shipments from multiple merchandisers, it's filled with those of one; they are picked up from a single hub, on a single companies schedule. Yes, the sheer volume makes it a tough job, but essentially, there are fewer fingers on the pot versus a "normal" oak shipping period. Also being that Apple locked up the bulk of shipments out of China, these phones have dedicated handlers.
If yours is in Shanghai, thats the final China stop until Anchorage. So you are where you should be. It will probably move today, then to Louisville. Worst case, Tuesday (which is still way better than Thursday). Its also possible that UPS's web tracking is way behind. That happens all the time on these launches, getting deliveries before UPS even shows it arrived in your area. It could be in Louisville right now for all you know.

Spoke with UPS international like some of you have already. The rep was very informative. The delay for the 7:10 people was due to a security scan which was a huge hold up and it was finally cleared yesterday. The rep told me that our phones will be leaving on the next plane out of ZhengZhou which will be tonight our time. They will be in Louisville tomorrow and then disbursed from there. People that have Expedited can expect to get the phones the earliest the 24th and the latest the 25th which we already know.
I'm with ya Meg. I'd love for my phone to be stuck somewhere other than in multiple boxes of parts. Apple, take our money, please.
and how did you speak to UPS? i called both regular UPS and international and got the recording saying they aren't open on sundays????
Anyone else starting to feel doubtful of a Monday delivery for us Shanghai folks?
Neither of my two Apple stores have a space gray 16GB 6+ for T-Mobile/unlocked right now.
