My local Apple store has the 128gb SG 6+ available for pickup today. Wish I could cancel my order at this point (scheduled delivery for Thursday) and just go buy it in the store. I could float the $950 off contract price (used my upgrade on the one in transit) and return one when it arrives...what to do?

i almost did this, but i do have a 64gb currently so decided to stick with it and wait it out. i thought about trying out the 6, but after using the 6 Plus there is something about it that's just magical.

Right now, I am going to believe that the iPhone in Louisville and not still partying in Shanghai. I suspect my shipping status won't change anytime soon due to the volume of packages to be scanned and accounts to be updated. I wouldn't be surprised to see tomorrow morning that shipping status went from sitting in Shanghai to being on the truck for delivery.... UPS has done this to me before...

Same here. Usually, I never see tracking info change on the weekend. And UPS is very good about getting packages delivered when they say they will. Sucks though because my AT&T billing address is in TX, and I'm in MA. I'll have to have my dad next day ship it to me. STILL BETTER THAN OCT 1-6TH! YAAAS!!

I'll be sooooo happy if our phones aren't actually chilling in Shanghai, but I dunno. My delivery date is still 9/25.

I very much doubt it is in China. Aside from my whole address change, my date still changed from Thursday to Monday. I doubt they changed it to Monday unless they knew it would be make it.

Obviously all bets are off for my phone, as they can use my address change as an excuse for taking a week longer, but for everyone else on the Shanghai 12:45am bus, I think it's safe to say they are in America.

I doubt it as well because the option to pick a 2 hour delivery window popped up this morning for me. If they were delayed my delivery would not remain tomorrow.

@ZombiePete, why so negative?

But my delivery date is Thursday and still says Thursday :(

Mine was too, up until an hour ago. Yet quite a few people had previously reported that theirs had already changed to Monday. I think for whatever reason, ups is just being slow at updating the delivery date. But if both of ours were in Shanghai at the same time, why would it take yours three extra days? They should have been next to each other the whole way to Louisville.

Maybe mine will be updated soon?

I like this. I'm going to believe this. BUT UPS should let us know if it's gonna change to Monday darn it! I have to arrange to work from home lol

I was really happy that they brought out phones this year before getting a particular phone reserved at launch, we were pretty damn certain my wife was getting a 6+ but it was still helpful. I've played with hers and while I will be using two hands a lot more often, I'm ok with that.

If the 7:10 would just change I'd be happy. Fine with 9/25 at this point, just get my phone the **** outta ZhengZhou

Holding out hope it will come tomorrow. But delivery is scheduled for Tuesday. No big deal for me.

The wife went to verizon to see the plus. She loved it. Tried to get me to go. I didn't wan too. I wanted to be surprised at the size of the phone

yeah I went to see it yesterday at my local store, the demo. beuatiful handset and it is not "Too Big.:apple:

Mine still says Monday 9-22 delivery, if assuming that will change...

Also went to the apple store and the 6+ is very nice like the size,

Was just gonna mention this... Maybe the staff that updates the scans onto the servers don't work over the weekends... And our Shanghai scans could have been the last updates on a Friday night...

I haven't been keeping up with this thread but it appears my phone is stuck in Shanghai or missing scans much like many others.

I called on the off chance a UPS rep could see anything different. and despite the fact that it clearly says scheduled for early delivery 9/22 (Monday) on my screen he insisted that it said Tuesday and would be delivered (or in my case held for pickup) Tuesday. I'm hoping he's wrong and I didn't have the heart to argue with him since I'm sure other maniacs like us have made his weekend hell. If it gets here tomorrow I'll be really happy, but I guess I've come to terms with the fact that I might only get my package a week and a day before the first possible date Apple said it would be delivered instead of a week and two days.

This Shanghai nonsense has gone on long enough!!!!

CMON UPS, the Red, White and Blue is calling for you.

:apple:

iphone 6 plus package is weight 0.5kg one MILLION iPhones weight = 500,000kg

jumbo jet 747 can take off 400,000kg with no problems

so two flights and we are done

The factories produce 500,000 phones a DAY. Maximum transport space, one plane, one trip: 200,000. The math is against the planes.

and I am sure that not only iPhones go on the plain

Plus, I think they only have 5 or 6 planes, don't they? Right now, UPS can't keep up with the demand and it going to take time.

People seem to want to believe there is some massive conspiracy by Apple, UPS and China to keep their iPhones away from them.
