My 6+ is in Japan now as well and my arrival date dropped back from today to tomorrow. Oh well ... went through the same last year with my gold 5s, only my phone shipped from Zhangzou, went to Shanghai, then actually went back to Zhangzou before coming across to the U.S. I can't believe people are actually calling apple and ups over this ... Like they can do anything at this point. It will come when it comes.

Not that simple. If you upgraded with a subsidized phone ($499) and walk-in you have to buy an off-contract phone ($950).

You will load up and restore your new phone, but when your pre-order arrives in the mail, you will have to keep the one you pre-ordered and return the one you walked in and purchased or you will be out a huge chunk of change.

I don't think you understand how "subsidized" phones work. You still pay that full price, just over 24 months.

I think the anger is due to the fact that a majority of people that were stuck in Shanghai have been shipped and his/her's has NOT. It's the feeling of being "left behind" what causes the anger and grief I believe

Again - to what I said - giving such detailed tracking information to people before hand sometimes creates such an environment.

UPS shouldn't have sent out tracking information until the packages were in the US...

Huh. Now I can see flight 99 out of Incheon, says it's scheduled for 9:55 am, but hasn't taken off yet, despite it currently being 10:45am there.

There are a few posts that there are 6 plus phones in stores close by..which area is showing? There are none in the NY area

I wagoing to ask the same thing! My local Apple store has 16gb 6+s available, but who really wants a 16gb?!?!

This is exactly what mine is still sitting at right now. No change in a couple days now. I figured it would be in the US by now, but with a Thursday delivery date is sure looks like it isn't.

I don't understand how I have Thursday delivery, yet people have Monday and Tuesday delivery and had the exact same UPS scanning information. Why is mine still sitting in China while others moved on? Makes no sense to me.

So now people are just coming here to mock is.. That ought to make this much less frustrating...

Mock, not really. Give some perspective, sure.

This thread is full of updates and information but is constantly brought down by people who are obsessed with a device they don't even own yet. Their priorities are so skewed that I've seen the following:

threats of class-action lawsuits
harrassment of Apple employees
harrassment of UPS customer service
declarations of never *doing whatever* again

Anyone reacting this way because their phone isn't coming earlier than early is just being a damn child. Apple sold a product and promised it would be delivered between October 1-6. Apple are trying their best to over deliver their promise. Still this isn't good enough.

My phones were both scheduled for Thursday delivery. One is in Incheon, Korea. The other was rescheduled (albeit still on-time) for Friday but has not arrived in Korea yet.

What he said was true - Apple committed to having you your phone from 1 Oct thru 6 Oct. If it doesn't arrive by the 6'th, then you have a reason to complain.

People don't understand the logistics and shipping processes at ALL. I work for a very large package delivery company, and people honestly think we pick up their product and the same guy drives it all the way across the country to it's destination...

UPS does not have the extra capacity to pick up the sheer number of packages coming out of China. They just don't. I can almost assure you they are tendering a lot of these packages to other carriers and airlines to get them TO their US sortation system -- we already KNOW this because of the Air China pictures we saw last week with the captain posing with the skids of iPhones...

Once they're in the US, it will be easier for UPS to move the packages in an expedited fashion.

There's only so much capacity coming out of China - it's a bottle neck.. that's why they're routing them through different cities - to spread the volume out!

You'll get your phone by the 6'th - just be patient and stop refreshing the tracking screen every 5 minutes...

See ya later Shanghai! Not gonna miss ya.

My date moved back from Monday to Thursday.

Allow for some human emotion and irrationality in your assessments of human behavior, particularly where large sums of money are involved, or people are going to be letting you down and turning you into a cynic for the rest of your life.

As far as I recall reading, no one asked you to "give us perspective". We're adults here, and you're the one resorting to name calling.

Some of us have busy lives, with no one around to receive a $1000 device if we don't know ahead of time when it's coming. I work early - late every day, and won't be able to pick it up unless I know well ahead of time when it's coming. Others have to take off of work to go pick theirs up.

So yes, it's very annoying when you can't trust your tracking information to let you know when your expensive device is going to be delivered.
