Oct. 1 to 6 2014 Delivery Date Orders (Update) Delivered earlier!

I am interested as to when yours appears. Mine hasn't appeared either (call ended 1600).
I called Apple earlier today to find out why I got Oct 1-6 when I pre-ordered at around 3:45 am (even though I knew why) and I was very nice just talking about the phone, weather, etc. I asked about a free case in the end and she hooked me up with a free leather case. That's $50 saved in my pocket. Doesn't hurt to try that's for sure.

I called to check on my shipment date. He confirmed that it was scheduled to ship between October 1 and 6. I indicated that my friend had called and was offered a free case. The representative did say he would give me a case but called me out indicating that I call just for the free case! Then I check my order status in the case was added to my original iPhone order. However I am being charged for it! There's no indication that it is free
I will let you know, as of my phone call which was an hour and 15 mins ago still hasnt shown up in my order
Just a heads up on mine it showed up pretty much immediately for the free case.
Same with me, so left the same shipping, Got my Leather Case refunded to me as well. Shipped yesterday, arrives the 19th.
Talking to a sales rep on chat if he can check to see if my free case is added and he told me this
"I do not know when the case will show up on your order because it may take up to 24 hours for it to show on your order."
So I will wait till tomorrow until I call again
I really have to agree that the expedited shipping is a placebo. Both reps I talked to said all orders are expedited shipping already, which I fully believe. A company like Apple can get next day air for what we pay for parcel post.
Anyhow, the rep I just talked to didn't just offer me a case, he said, "I can pretty much offer you any accessory for your Apple products". He first offered me the Duracell Powercase for my 5S - that's $120. I just took the leather for my plus and thanks him profusely. It showed in my order before we got off the phone.

Yea lol, But it worked for me and I was thinking of ordering the case anyway. Saved $50.
I think you're exactly right, we may all get the phones on Sep 29 - Oct 2nd. Having this visually on our orders just gives a nice mental feel..especially when it says "Sept." in a arrival date. It would for me!
I'll tell you this though, the past 3 days have DRAGGED for me personally. It's feels like when I was a kid impatiently waiting for my B'Day, Xmas...summer vacation, etc. Time seemed to barely move.
Just called. I was told that there's no faster shipping option available. I didn't direct ask for a free case, but I mentioned maybe getting one at a discount and was denied that. The rep was courteous through everything, though. I'll just be patient. Patient, as in giving a retail store on Friday a try .
He also said that my "processing items" status won't change to "preparing for shipment" until 3 days before it's actually sent off.

I didn't even ask for the case. After chatting for a bit he said, "I appreciate you being really cool about this, so there is something I can do for you". Be nice to these guys since they've been getting yelled at all weekend and they might offer something. If not, so be it. Even the Comcast CSRs have discounted my bill because I'm nice to them.

I called back and a very nice guy answered the phone. He saw the order, from when I previously called, and said it would show up in about a day- it's based on how the person who creates the order does it.
He said if it doesn't show up, call back and they'll take care of it again. Given Oct 1-6 is a lifetime-without-6+ away, all I got is time, so no biggie.

Some people that have their phones shipped already have that same delivery date. Apple will have FedEx/UPS hold the phone for a day.
