Oct. 1 to 6 2014 Delivery Date Orders (Update) Delivered earlier!

Well my case is being delivered today guess I will talk into that for a week or so LOL
My 128 GB Plus still says 7-10 days, Oct 1-6

Wife's 64GB 6+ SG is right on time to be here Friday....Mine that I ordered 2 minutes later is still processing with Oct 1-6 Delivery Date....

Woke up at 2:45 AM EST and was finally able to order the devices sometime around 5:00 AM EST.
Secured my 6 64GB for delivery on 9/19 but my fiance's 6+ 64GB is showing a delivery range of Oct. 1 - 6. I really hope Apple is just being cautious with inventory and that the phone arrives here before then.

Yeah, frustrating that none of our ship dates seem to be bumping up.
I don't expect them too right now.
My feeling is, if we will see them next week, sometime this week we may see "preparing to ship" on our orders. From what the UPS driver, and personal experience, "standard" shipping on iPhones is expedited.
If they say 7-10 days from the 12th, Monday the 22nd is the earliest they will ship, and will take 2 days or so to get to us.
Just called in for my 2 Plus 128gb phones which initially had a oct 1-6 shipping date.
Was very nice to the CS rep and she moved up my shipping to sept 28-oct 1. No offer for a case.

Not much hope for me for early anymore, going to try for in store on Friday. Haven't seen anyone with any sign of being early, I'm guessing they go to preparing to ship sometime late next week, then it sits for 3-4 days(based on everyone else's now), then gets delivery hopefully around October1.
Others are sitting now because they can't be delivered before the release day. I don't expect ours to just sit though. If it's after release date they will probably ship as quick as possible
I would think at this point it's probably a pretty slim chance to just walk in and buy a 6+ at any Store on Friday....
I could be completely wrong in my assumption, but I would think Apple would use any and all inventory available, even that which would normally be reserved for the "crazy campers", to fill pre-orders as quickly as possible after the debacle with the website and app.
My advice, though not worth much more than anyone else's, is to just suck it up and wait on the guaranteed option....
I know it's hard...I'll even have to set up my wife's and watch her play with it until I get mine...But It's better than waiting in a long line only to be let down again..

Nah, I believe they are separate inventories. I have no concrete proof of this, however. Just years of reading forums, lol.

Thats what I expect as well. I figure by Thurs or Fri we'll see a "Prepping for Shipping" message on our orders. Then we'll get them maybe late next week.
This same scenario played out for the 5S, and the 4S for me. Apple always gives you worst case for shipping estimates and then it arrives like a week earlier.

Well, you can have them (UPS) hold it for you. I've done that before. There's lots of ways you can around that little problem. You can also redirect the shipping address if you need to through UPS or Fedex.
You have to call your local Ups hub early in the morning with your tracking number to place on same day will call. When the package is scanned it will place a label that says hold and they will place it aside for same day will call pick up. The drivers will attempt to deliver 3 days in a row and then it will get returned to sender if you aren't there for delivery after 3 attempts. If you call and place it on regular will call it will be stored for 5 business days before being returned to sender. Yes I do work for Ups and I know that this is in fact 100% true.
Well the hope is dead and gone.
I guess we can all feel better knowing that pretty much nobody will have the 6 Plus in a big size around 9/19 so we can focus on that nice "exclusive" feeling...
There will be little to no hope of finding any in store either. Maybe there will be an ugly gold one. But definitely no slate or silver 128s.

Or you can sign up for the free My Choice and do it from the website as soon as it's in UPSs system. I know because I've done this dozens of times. I've had packages held from as soon as they shipped up to the morning of delivery. UPS and fedex are great about this - fedex may require one failed delivery attempt since it's signature required before they hold it.
Or you can pay UPS $5 (I think for non paying members) to redirect the delivery.
