Oct. 1 to 6 2014 Delivery Date Orders (Update) Delivered earlier!

For what its' worth, my credit card had been charged for my iPhone 6 with delivery date of September 19th.

My credit card still has NOT been charged for my iPhone 6+ with October 1-6 delivery date.

So yeah... things aren't looking good in terms of getting it earlier

New & I have been lurking a while and am surprised how many people are calling & spending hours upon hours on the phone to do things like expedite shipping & change ship to address. Aren't they all shipped UPS or FEDX sig required anyway? Which I assume is pretty fast...no? I changed my ship to address for this order only on apple.com to my work address after learning someone would need to sign. Thanks all for that info :) My order was still in processing, it didn't change ship/arrival dates (oct 1-6) but did update the new ship address right away & I got an email with the new ship address immediately. It took all of 2 minutes.

Nah, I'm confident the store supply has plenty of Plus models. Far less than 6, yes, but they have some.

What makes you say that what with the production delays this year?

I'm trying to get a 128+ Silver. There's only like 20 total in existence nationwide and they're still probably assembling them now in the 11th hour in China by the millions.

I've always been lead to believe (through following Apple, reading forums, news, etc) that the store supply is completely separate from the pre-order supply. History has generally proven that to be true as well.

I'm sure the Plus supply is much less than the 6 but stores will have the Plus. Only question is how many.

Yes they are separate of course but the shipment arriving in stores on 18/19th are the same time frame.

The 128 Pluses just were a few weeks late to mass production.

So if there were minuscule to none available to be shipped by 9/19 then the same case for the stores in that time frame will be similar.

Oct 1-6 is actually the first really major batch in the millions and millions for 128+

So I don't even consider us the 2nd batch because the first batch was like a pre-production placeholder limited batch just to say it exists.

Add in the fact that everyone will be desperately camping out hours earlier than ever because they are all thinking what we are thinking and it's not looking good or plausible to find one in most busy/city markets.

Ok, but we can still feel good when we get them later next week - at the VERY earliest - or Oct 6 - at the VERY latest. Meanwhile those who are in the 3-4 week + shipping range are still waiting...and waiting.

The waiting is hard..If I was in that group..may not see the phone until mid Oct, MAYBE even early Nov., I'd be depressed right now.

Yup. I'm still optimistic that we'll receive them sometime next week, with "preparing for shipment" starting to show up later this week.

And we got iOS 8 tomorrow to tide us over!

IOS 8 is pretty awesome as an update. I'm finding the quick response feature to be the most useful right now. And seeing the attachment history in messages makes it easy to sort pictures you want to keep. The keyboard is great, too, but I can't wait for 3rd party keyboards to come out. The Health Kit app covers a TON of parameters I have no clue how to measure - Forced vital capacity?

It makes me feel better knowing that hardly anyone out there will have them as opposed to just being an odd man out.

In my mind we are the 1st group so its like pretending it doesn't exist on the market yet so I can justify not feeling bummed about it.

Yup, like me. I'm in the 3-4 week shipping group! -_- and the wait lives on lol...

this is like iPhone waiters anonymous haha.

I ordered a silver 128gb+ at 345am. I had been refreshing since 245am and I have been kicking myself since thursday night for not turning off wifi and going cellular to place my order cause all the refreshing locked me out. as soon as I picked up my ipad that I wasn't refreshing on with wifi off it worked :mad: just too late for launch day. first time in like 4 years I will go without on launch day.....in years past I would do something silly like order a 6 to tide me over but I am mellowing with age and you saying like zero 128gb+'s exist makes me feel better haha.

I kind of feel the same way lol. So few people got a 6+ 128 for 19th that it almost feels like we ARE the first batch lol. The more time goes by the more I feel like i'm just going to wait it out and get it in the next 7-10 days.

If it makes you feel any better, I turned off wi-fi, I switched to a VPN connection offsite, I tried a desktop computer, I cleared my cache and even flushed the DNS resolver cache. Nothing helped. Took an hour for me to get my order in.

And here I am, in the 10/1 - 10/6 group as a result. :D
 
just got off the phone with apple. tried to get expedited shipping but was unable to, i did however get some beats in ear headphones. the guy i spoke to was pretty cool and understanding, and very nice as well :D

Did you get the headphones for free like people are getting cases? Because if you did, I'll be spending my night calling Apple until I get some. Lol.
