Oct. 1 to 6 2014 Delivery Date Orders (Update) Delivered earlier!

Called yesterday and talked about how I was up for hour 4 hours trying order a phone and then said I knew some other people who received cases for free because of the inconvenience. Was told my case would show up in my order status in 24 hours which it did not. I called back and a nice lady gladly put it on my order free of charge.

Has anyone gotten a free case via online chat?

I called and had a nice convo with a nice rep this AM but he didn't offer me anything and I didn't feel right about asking.

Online chat does not have the ability to expedite shipping or give free product.
 
So tell me the truth...is Oct 1st the earliest we will get it? It seems ridiculous that Apple would wait that long in between shipments. I don't remember how the roll out went with the 5S because, no offense to anyone here, I received mine on the first day and could care less about other people. :p jk. Anyone willing to shed some real insight to this, not guessing.

I think there's another shipment between 19th and 10/1-10/6. My original delivery date was 10/1-10/6 (2 6 pluses). Yesterday morning it moved up a week to 9/24-9/29.
 
If i recall correctly from the past few years during launch there are two shipments per week, one on the weekend then another on Wednesday.

Lucky! We haven't had many (if any) reports of people being bumped up other than the people who called to get "expedited" shipping.

I wish mine moved up... it's still the same date from 30th September to 3rd October. I'm surprised the Gold one sold out so fast in my country, apparently it's supposed to be the most unpopular one. :(

Those are writing style guides so some of the rules are made for the sake of convention, not necessarily because they are grammatically incorrect. I believe majority recommend not to use apostrophes for plurals if no ambiguity is likely. For example, iPhone 5's and iPhone 5s's are okay but you should use iPad 2s and iPad 4s instead of iPad 2's and iPad 4's.

Called for expedited shipping on Sunday night and was bumped up to delivery date of 9/29-10/4. On Monday morning, I checked order status and noticed it was 9/24-9/29. It's been there since and is still at "processing."

Yeah.. not going to lie.. I'm going to be a bit angry if the expedited callers get theirs a week before the normal Oct 1-6 people. :mad:

From what I've read here, not a single person was an angry caller or demanded recompense - only a couple actually ASKED for anything. Apple seems to be doing this because they know they're partly at fault for things that went wrong on Friday.

I applaud Apple for giving anything away for free and keep their customers happy.

I didn't ask for anything free either. Frankly, after she offered the AppleTV I asked if she could reserve me a 6 for pick up at an Apple Store on launch day. She had already agreed that if the reservation system worked as intended that I would have received one that day.

I dunno. That 24-29 date seems like the reasonable best case scenario time frame we are hoping to realistically get some shipments to drop for us if we consider oct 1-6 as a "conservative" estimate.

Its definitely a clue.

This is the range that I'm sure everybody with a delivery estimate of 10/1-10/6 is actually in. Yours just reflects that currently.

From what I gather, ALL iPhone orders are expedited shipping, regardless of whether it was asked for or not.

With the iPad mini cellular version release, those who had overnight shipping got theirs a couple of days earlier than the regular shipping folks.

I never had any luck getting my shipping changed then (so mine came later than others who ordered AFTER me but were able to get their orders changed to overnight shipping.) I did get free stuff though.

So because of personal experience, I wanted my shipping changed to overnight. Yes... it's only a couple of days... but dammit I WANTED MY PHONES ON THE 19TH. *stamps feet like a 2-year-old*

Sorry for derailing the thread everyone. Start calling Apple for free stuff again and reporting your status here so we can get things back on track.
