Oct. 1 to 6 2014 Delivery Date Orders (Update) Delivered earlier!

I think I'm just going to start telling myself my phone has shipped and it's just coming via an extremely slow method. At least then I won't go check 50 times a day for any update.
 
Im actually pissed I only got a case, makes me seem weak.

How did you guys get headphones, and Apple Tv's.

From what I gather, ALL iPhone orders are expedited shipping, regardless of whether it was asked for or not.

Not sure if that's true. The second agent I spoke to clearly stated the shipping time is/will NOT expedited since all orders are coming from China. She also said the ONLY shipping that was expedited were the ones guaranteed 9/19. She was very vocal about that and I asked why others were getting shipping bumps and she basically said that's something that can not happen. I wasn't gonna argue with her about it.....

Seriously?? Pissed that you got a $50 case for free?? Man, the sense of entitlement of some people never stops amazing me... SMH.

That maybe true, although I don't want it to be lol.

I remember someone who works at UPS posted about all iPhone orders receiving expedited shipping. Granted, they were talking about past releases. But if history is to repeat itself, it may happen again this year.

I wouldn't. At this point they're not changing shipping dates (nor is there any guarantee that doing so has actually had any tangible benefit) and unless you have a legitimate beef with Apple (such as having the delivery date go from 9/19 to Oct 1-6 as you were checking out) then actually seeking freebies is kind of lame.

I actually feel kind of lame for hesitating on the phone with my CSR until she gave me a free case. Feels cheap now.

Anyway, if history is any indicator our orders might start to move up on Saturday.

For the record I appreciated what you said. Hoping for more such parallel clues that show examples of them delivering ahead of schedule in the past.

As long as it doesn't got preparing for shipping overnight Friday night, ruining my store plan.

Imagine sitting in line Thursday night/Friday morning and getting an alert from the Apple Store app that your phone is shipping. I guess at least you could offer to sell your spot at that point.
 
I would have thought that with all the reservations that fell through we would have seen some movement by now, still hopeful though for tomorrow and Thurs, Its really going to suck to watch my roommate open his 9/19 iP6+ If I don't have on yet :(

I doubted we would have seen movement. Apple may have over-estimated when we may actually have received the phone, but I think the 7-10 days will remain spot on. That means at the earliest we will see them ship on Monday.

Since the reservation system apparently never held our "Delivery on 9/19" dates to checkout, and instead just fulfilled the orders, there's no way cancelled reservations would have moved us up.

The reservations didn't apparently hold the 9/19 date and instead just thew a lot us in the second batch.
