Oct. 1 to 6 2014 Delivery Date Orders (Update) Delivered earlier!

I just checked my credit card and there was a $4 authorization pending transaction on September 16

Now the case I bought already shows the full amount charged to my credit card and that was done before this for $4 authorization charge that is pending

So I wonder if I'm getting ready to prepare for shipping

I ordered a 64 gig ATT gold 6+ Iphone

I think timing does play a part. The older the order, the more likely it would disappear. The temporary charges are just there to ensure the CC can be charged at that moment. Because they do not charge until it ships, if there's a long time between initial and actual, the charge will disappear.
 
My $1 dollar pending charge has been removed as well, I have one T-Mobile 6+ 64gb Space Gray scheduled for Oct. 1-6 and 1 gold one that is 3-4 weeks.

Hoping I get the gray one earlier as that one is mine!
 
Ordered iPhone 6 Plus/128GB/Space Gray/AT&T (GSM) at 3:59 AM on 9/12 and I'm in the "7-10 business days to ship and 10/1-10/6 for delivery" club.

I also ordered a (PRODUCT)Red and Midnight Blue leather case about ten minutes later. The (PRODUCT)Red case shipped from PA yesterday, but the Midnight Blue is still showing as "Preparing for Shipment?"

Oh, and my iPhone is still sitting at "Processing Items", FWIW. I had a pending authorization in my checking account but it seems to have disappeared. I see nothing from Apple in pending authorizations or things that've been entirely debited and processed...

I also ordered the same phone at 5:00am ET on 9/12 with a 10/1-10/6 delivery estimate. My order is still on "Processing Item" and nothing has been charged to my credit card.
 
Banks have a certain limit to how long a charge can be pending. Generally with Wells Fargo whom I bank with after three days they remove the pending charge if it's not processed fully. This is so a retailer can't have your whole account tied up with pending charges for weeks or months. Once Apple finishes the payment process the charge will reappear and then go through at midnight the day after the transaction completes.

Ugh wish i had it friday.
 
I have a $4 something pending but I don't know if it's from the App Store or not. What day does the App Store/iTunes charge?
 
Called to get a free case. Opened by asking them to expedite my shipping. He did, I didn't want to sound greedy so I thanked him and hung up. Oh well, better than nothing.

You just motivated me to give them another call see if they would expedite it (first time I tried they said they couldn't) Sep 29 - Oct 2 is my new date!

Asking for expedited shipping really doesn't do anything. All orders are shipped ASAP. Thats why they give it away for free.

This is true. My wifes iphone 6 has standard shipping. But once it shipped, the UPS site says "UPS next day Air". So there is no expedited shipping. They all ship next day air. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble.

Same here. I'm more concerned now if they charge my card because then I can't cancel at the last second and buy one at AT&T on Friday morning.

Should be good to go as long as it doesn't go into Preparing to Ship mode, also assuming it doesn't take days to get your upgrade back.
 
On hold with Apple customer service now. He is talking to the sales department to see what they can do for me. All I requested is an earlier ship date for my iPhone 6+ 128 AT&T Space Gray Order. He said it'll be 4-5 minutes. I also told him I purchased every iPhone since the original and got them all on release date which is true! I even had the iPhone 5 shipped to the hotel my buddies and I were arriving at for my bachelor party so it was there when we arrived lol.
 
I still don't see the reasoning behind wasting hours on the phone to expedite shipping when all iphone orders are expedited and & shipped VIA UPS or FEDX w/signature required.

Also - continuously calling to get something for nothing seems just a little spoiled & self entitled for no reason. With 4 million pre-orders, trust me you weren't the only ones who's ship date slipped if that's in fact why you'd think you deserved something extra. I personally don't think that warrants "free stuff".

I don't think it's unreasonable to put the onus on Apple to decide what warrants free stuff, or it could also be seen as, customer satisfaction.

To that end, I have no problem asking for something given I do feel wronged in that I could not connect to their systems until 0530 EDT, on their 7th iPhone release. I do not feel entitled, but do appreciate their amends to my frustration with their continued inability to scale their systems to demand like any reputable cloud provider.
