I am in Orlando for a delivery of tomorrow and been in Louisville for over 30 hours. As long as its delivered tomorrow, it can do whatever it wants between now and then.


Also, I have a question. Is anyone getting insurance on their phones, who has the best insurance plans?
 
9/25 order here, been stuck in Ky for over 30 hours, I could have driven from PA to pick it up my self several times by now.

For those who are frustrated by the 2nd tier shipping, I have spoken with a manager at Apple. He said that if there are enough people with Express Saver who got their packages processed through Louisville quickly and enough people with Worldwide Expedited who had their packages delayed such that he could establish a pattern, then he would be able to take this issue to logistics to try to get an answer.

I don't want to post his number in a public forum. If you PM me, I'll give you his name and phone number. If enough people call him with this information, then maybe we can get an answer.

Picked up my 6+ this morning from UPS customer center in NJ. Thanks everyone for the entertainment and information in this thread as we awaited our iPhones!
 
My phone was supposed to be delivered today, but now there is no delivery information due to an error last night. I made it through the import scan in a little over an hour and now the phone is in NC, where I stay. It states that a mechanical error has delayed my delivery...Hopefully it comes in today.

NEVERMIND! After a mechanical failure with UPS last night (see attached picture) MINE IS ON THE TRUCK FOR DELIVERY!!!!!!

I'm getting AppleCare+ I tried adding it to my cart when I bought the phone but it kept giving me an error and I didn't want it to completely wipe my cart and have to start from square one (I was already up for 2 hours trying to preorder). I called Apple to add it on to my order on the 14th and the guy said it's best to wait to get the phone and go to an Apple store (he said there might be a chance my delivery would've gotten messed up and pushed back if I added anything). Once I get my phone (TOMORROW!) I'm heading to the Apple Store ASAP to get AppleCare+

Did you go through an import scan at Louisville...? Can you please post your tracking info...?

I seriously doubt Apple cares or will do anything to help any of us. We paid for the phones already and UPS got paid for shipping, so as long as there's no bad press who cares?

I don't think that it's a good sign that we just happened to be switched to shipping the day before preorders started and then sat in china for the weekend, I'm sure that wasn't an accident.

I have 9/25 shipping and I'm sure if UPS could have had it to me Yesterday but our orders have been sat aside to let others get out ahead of us. :(
 
So I decided to call Apple today to complain about the piss poor handling of this and ask why my phones are just sitting around in Louisville doing nothing. All she would say is your lucky to get it as quick as you are. I told her that it isn't fair that they are shipping phones to stores for stock instead of to customers who got up in the middle of the night to preorder. She told me that stores aren't getting stock which I told her was not true. Then she offered me a coupon for my frustrations. I told her a coupon wasn't going to do anything for me and that I just wanted to let them know that they pissed off a 30 year customer.

I really wanted to lay into her, but I kept my cool and was perfectly polite about it. My feeling right now is that I will never preorder with them again, but I know I will be doing this all over again in a few months with the Watch.

Which, of course would have been fine if they paid for expedited status. But the fact though that better shipping was assigned randomly is what is so annoying.

Why Apple chose different delivery options for some orders is baffling to me. Orders shipped 3 days after some people getting them first.
