Poo! I was hoping someone would have received theirs by now but obviously not. I'm curious to know what kind of packaging we'll be getting. Onwards we wait.

Hey Magnum, don't think it is the "Up To Date" Version you ordered (what this thread is about). Or you must be related to Steve Jobs or something.:D

UTD is sent by regular mail and not trackable I'm told…
Enjoy it while we wait a little longer :)

I put in my order for :apple: MAC OS X 10.5 Leopard Up to Date disc :apple:
this past Sunday, Oct. 21st, still no change in the status of "Not yet shipped".
Just venting here helps. :D

Is this out for delivery? or what? Apple didn´t know anything ...

Woo-hoo!! :)

As of 2pm UK time...

Now, depending on whether this is coming from Apple Netherlands or Apple UK it's possible I'll get the disc tomorrow morning.

UTD shipping NEWS for all - NOV 2nd!

I heard this morning from a friend of mine who works for authorized apple reseller that UTD discs will not deliver until Nov. 2 the latest as apple is ramping up the production for full price retailer discs as this Gold Master was set at last minute. He received retail version discs yesterday to sell them today. He said install was fast, but some apps need to be updated.

That is fine with me as those who got full version can go through agony as there may be few bugs, by time time UTD reaches our hands, apple sure by then will have an update!

Raf, mine is already showing as in the post. How are Apple going to sell it to clear the retail backlog when they've already sent it out?

Mississippi, USA. Online order status says ships by: October 26. Called Apple girl said, it should arrive today. Pre - order up-to-dates were set to arrive today. BUT...then she confirmed my info and address and told me "just keep checking your email and you'll recieve a shipment notification when it ships from Fed-ex" WHAT????? Did apple just give me the run around? I think so.

They only had limited UTD discs released as opposed to large quantity if retail version discs, as the production is still ramping up, their priority was retail discs first, so it delivers them to all apple stores. You can't have a Grand Opening at 6 pm and no discs for sale, that would be an embarrassment for apple inc. That is why UTD discs are low priority for apple.

No idea how to tell UTD from full retail

It's a family pack ordered direct from Apple Store.
UTD are the discs sent out to people who bought Macs after Oct 1. You're in the wrong thread, but no worries. Hope the update goes well :)

UTD stands for "Up-to-date", and we are all anxiously waiting for the UTD discs. Usually i am calm when it comes to waiting...but this is...killing me sssssllloooooooooooowwwllllllllyyyyyyyy

Ahhhhh, apologies. Been wondering about the UTD thing :)

Hi, just wondering how many UTD orders have been actually charged for it yet. I ordered my one of my UTD copies on the 20th, Apple charged me for it on the 22nd. I am on the East coast. My status still says not yet shipped, but the cancel button (actually ALL except change email addy!!) have been greyed out since Monday afternoon, the 22nd. Possible that they ARE sending them out this week....

Have others been actually charged yet?

I ordered both of mine on the 16th, and as of now still haven't seen a charge on my debit card. My bank's web site is almost instantanious. So I'm not holding my breath. I'm inclined to believe the poster that said that the apple store rep told him they'd be shipped by USPS on the 26th and would arrive sometime the following week. Seems the most believable story yet.

I'd like to take this opportunity to wonder... why don't they give the option to pick up UTD discs at the retail stores? Ideally, you'd go online to confirm that your mac is eligible, and then receive some sort of confirmation number which the stores could then verify. The $10 we spend on shipping could go to offset the cost of the retail packaging. Apple wouldn't have to press separate UTD discs/packaging. Everyone would get it at the same time. Peace and happiness would fall over the land. World hunger being eradicated wouldn't be far behind.

I got an email at 3.23pm today telling me my UTD disk has shipped and I should get it delivered on the 29th Oct(Monday)

Shipped to GLASGOW, GB 26 Oct 2007
Estimated Delivery Date 29 Oct 2007 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 26 Oct 2007

Hm, interesting. Immediately after ordering the UTD discs (on the 18th), my credit card showed a deduction from my available credit (i.e. nothing posted, but the money was deducted from the amount available). I just checked the card this morning, and it shows the full amount available (i dont use this card hardly)....HMMM....

Did Apple find out that I actually bought my MBP TWO days before Oct 1? :p

My status is still "Not Yet Shipped."
