Mine still says "NOT Shipped". I called and they assurmed me it was a issue they were having with the update system which is why it shows not shipped and he said I would get it today.

I asked him to provide me with a tracking number. They couldn't provide. I'm getting a little upset now.

UPDATE: FINALLY SHIPPED OUT... IT IS ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE 10/30. BUT I CANNOT TRACK VIA USPS WEBSITE

Anybody else's delivery date change? When my UTD status first changed to "Shipped" it said delivery on October 30th. Now it says October 29th.

Or am I just weird?

Backordered

I purchased a 17" MacBook Pro from the local Apple Store on 10/5 and submitted my order for UTD on 10/23. For the last 2 days my order status has been "Backordered" with no projected shipping date. That's pretty disappointing. Since they know how many systems they've sold since 10/1, you'd think they would produce enough UTD disks to meet the demand.

My status just changed to ship and is saying it should be delivered by the 30th. Usually, the USPS is ahead of schedule whenever Amazon quotes me a projected delivery date - but their estimates are always so freaking far out, that I think the Apple estimate is probably accurate.

Will be grateful when it gets here. I haven't bothered getting my iTunes library back on my new iMac until Leopard gets here, otherwise I'd just end up having to back it up again when it got here.

Mine delivery date just changed from Oct 28th to the 29th. So much for the hope for saturday delivery...

Mine changed also. I don't know you, but you may be weird. :p

News from Canada,
I just got the shipping notification email, it says its coming by Monday the 29th.
Does anyone know if Canada Post delivers on weekends?*fingers crossed*

Mine still says 'Not Yet Shipped'

I ordered it on the 18th. WTF!!!!

Don't worry, you're not the only one. I still have NYS with the same order date as you. Why did they not process these orders first come, first serve? did they think that Mac fanatics would not discuss and figure out that the order was wrong?

Mine UTD shipped on 25th with Purolator. Will receive it Monday a.m. before 10 am. Confirmed with purolator, and apple sent me email shipping notification also.

Mine doesn't come untill 10/30. I work at the Post Office, so I know if they're shipping it Priority, it can come before that. Standard shipping can take up to a week to come.

My delivery just changed to 10/29, yay!

Here I am at 5:45 pm on Leopard Day, and mine still says "Still not shipped".:mad:

Our order date was Oct. 17. Plenty of time to have it shipped on time. I guess they're just making sure the full price orders went out first? BS!!!

[Update]: Now mine reads Delivery by Oct. 30. Standard snail-mail. Guess I'm waiting until Monday or Tuesday, then. Since they can't provide tracking for basic mail, I wish they would have at least told where it shipped from so we could estimate how long it might take.

when you guys refresh your order status page does it switch back and forth between the 29th and the 30th? very odd

Here is what mine says

After speaking to like ten people, I got that we are getting a retail copy, in the box just like on the shelves. Direct quote, "Only thing different is the price." I just bought an imac just over two grand, so why in the world does someone just buying the software get priority

Anyway...set for an October 30th delivery. Whatever I guess. This should have been handled a lot better on Apple's part. I'm glad I'm getting it for only $10, but they planned the Up To Date program poorly and executed it even worse.

Same here, I got Oct 30th... :(
I agree with you 100%, Apple totally shoud've handled this better. I mean, come on... we all knew that Leopard was coming out "in October", but we still bought our Macs anyways, trusting that Apple would take care of us with a discounted update. My point is, if thousands of people had "waited until Leopard" to buy their Macs, then the first 3 weeks of October would've been VERY slow for sales... right?

Also, Apple should've given us the option of express delivery, I would've paid for it, no problem.
Or even better, let us print out a coupon to go pickup at the store.

Well, lesson learned... in the future, I will never again buy a new Mac when there's a new OSX release around the corner - and I'll give that same advice to everyone I know.

Give it a few hours. My order changed to shipped at 2pm and in transit at 5pm. They're shipping it by courier (TNT) rather than the standard postal service here, so it should actually get here by the quoted date.

LOL. I'm so bookmarking that for future use :D

I so did the same thing. Hahahaha

Or, for those of us that have to travel hours and hours to get to our "local" store, a controlled download (special link on the order status page that works in a way to prevent spreading the URL around), as a temp measure until the goods arrive.

Nope. Canada Post doesn't even do mail delivery on Saturday. What's up with that?

Rejected!

Purchased my new Imac at a Apple Retail store on October 2nd.

Tried to use up to date online and it said it couldn't process my serial number and to apply by mail so I did.

Didn't think about it again until today so I check my status and got a big REJECTED. Everything I sent them was in order.

Got on the phone with CS. They say the order was never processed but had no answer as to the REJECTED status. They said all I could do is try again to apply online.

Same result. Could not process serial number. So CS says my only option is to mail an up to date order again. I feel I will get the same result and something is up with my serial number.

I was enjoying my newfound Apple life...until now.

Bummer. At least I have a "slim chance" that it'll show up Saturday. Almost a year ago I bought an iMac 17 and it shipped from Memphis, TN, which is not very far away (I'm about 3 hours north-east by road).

If this package is coming from the same place, it's possible (but not likely) that it could reach our mail distribution center around here overnight by truck.
