EDIT: The following is directed at ICE-Cube:

Not wishing to sound pissy, but are you sure that Erase and Install is there? I mean from a previous post you don't seem to understand the difference between Upgrade and "Archive and Install", so are you sure you're not mistaken here? When you install did you click the "options" to see what are available, or did you just do a regular upgrade?

Yes I am 100% sure. When you do the installation you would be able to see the few options, accompanied by a short explanation beside each option. Erase and Install is included. However, you need to click options to see those, if not the installer will presume that u would like to upgrade instead.

Pictures attached. Taken with a camera phone, sorry for the bad quality.

The window you would see when do the the installation, "Select a destination" as seen in the photo, click options on the bottom left corner to change your installation type. Attached is also the photo of the user guide that came along. Thats all in the package!

IceCUBE.

Looks like your the first to get the Upgrade. congrats.

Can you verify when installing if you can do a Archive & Install, and Erase and install options that are SELECTABLE

Also, could you check the packaging slip to see what state it was shipped from.

Oh well we won't get a shiny box.

I should of known it would be the brown envelope as I did the Tiger up-to-date aswell but as I have said before it only £5.95.

Cool! Thanks for the clarification.

Thank you so much for the photo, Ice Cube! And thanks for the information about shipping from Oregon.

My status says it'll arrive on the 28th, but before it said 29th. I think there's a slim, slim chance that it might arrive today, but I feel that the 30th is more likely. (No, they won't deliver it on the 28th! That's some sort of glitch.)

Ice-Cube
Can you confirm that the up to date discs dont require tiger to be installed on your hard drive prior to installing leopard?

This has already been clarified, hasn't it? In order for the update disc to work, OSX 10.4 needs to be installed.

You can Archive and Install, technically speaking Upgrading has the same meaning as Archive and Install. Upgrade is used because you are installing a new operating system.

The limitation of this Upgrade DVD is that you must have 10.4 installed before it will proceed cos thats was wat the disc was checking before installation.

rishidhar here icecube says it checked

Get ready people, UTD will be arriving this week.

What are you going to do when it drops on your doormat?

Me, I am going to do nothing but wait until the bugs have been sorted out.

Look,s like Apple have rushed the new iMac as well as the new OSX, saying that,I love my new 20" Alu Mac.

Enjoy.

Can anyone confirm if Boot Camp is included on the Up-to-Date disc? Be a bummer if it weren't...
Of course it will be. It has all the features of the retail copy. The only difference is an extra check at installation.

Same here. I'm actually quite glad I didn't get it Friday now. It's always tempting to jump straight in when the launch hysteria is in full swing. But now we've got a better idea of what Leopard brings, I've decided to wait it out.

Quick Question...

If I filled out the Up To Date USA form online and the UTD CD placed in my cart do I still have to physically mail in the receipt to the apple store?

Yay~~I got mine in mail this morning!! The (A&I) installation took about 40 mins!! love it!!:D

Hi bb10lue, so for you it came in the mail this morning, did you have to sign for it or did they just drop it in yr mailbox? Mine shipped last friday and it says expected delivery in 5 to 10 days, I don't want to sit at home waiting for it…
