All carrier have to unlocked for their customer who travel outside the USA.
So this time bring your ticket and ask about it.My friend still using that iphone 4s and no problem after he updated 5.01

yes.
U can search online for more infomation.But in my country,in the third day of iphone 4s ,the locked version of Sprint can use with GSM simcard after ship to my country.

I think if ATT will control your unlock so they can lock it when they like.
when you buy an Apple factory unlock no GSM company can lock it.

Please stop spreading disinformation. AT&T can lock your phone at any time in the future. Apple can release a software update that can re-lock your AT&T phone. But neither AT&T nor Apple will ever lock a factory unlocked iPhone 4S.

I i bought from the Apple store on line (1 to 2 weeks supply)
the iphone 4S BLK 64GB FACTORY UNLOCK $849.. PLUS TAX $902.91
YOU CAN USE ANY GSM MICRO SIM IT WILL ECCEPT ANY AND WILL NEVER LOCK,EVEN IF YOU UPGRADE TO NEW SOFTWARE
I LIVE IN THE USA BUT TRAVELES, SO I HAVE AND ORANGE SIM PAY AS YOU GO,
I TESTED MY UNLOCKED IPHONE HERE IN THE USA WITH IT AND IT GIVE ME SERVICE WITH T-MOBIL
I REMOVED IT AND PUT MY ATT ACOUNT AND IT WORK GOOD TOO
WHAT I NOTICED ON MY ACCOUNT THAT ATT DON'T KNOW THE IMEI #
I ALSO HAD IN THE PAST THE IPHONE 4 FACTORY UNLOCKED AND IT WAS ALL WAYES UNLOCKED
REMMBER ONLY FACTORY UNLOCKED NOT ATT FULL PRICE

The true that they can lock att paid full price ,but why they would do that ?
Remember the last time server of apple got hacked,and these hacker sell unlock code for ur iphone with 10 or 20 bucks.One of my friend bought that code,until now he still using it with no problem.They dont really care about it so much,so stop worry.

1- its came just last week with the last firmware so i didn't need or can restore
2- no i didn't traveleyet but i used my orange uk sim card and the iphone was working, orange uk don't have service in the usa so the have agreement with t-moil

I ordered my 16G white iPhone 4S on November 18. It has been a while now and my status still says "Processing Items" You have no idea how badly I am waiting for it. I check the status every minute hoping that it will change; however, it does not seem to be changing. How frustrated I am .

Anybody ordered on the 18th.

Hey all, in an earlier post i said that i had received my 64G and that it apparently had screen issues....WRONG!
Let this serve as a warning. whenever i get a new phone the first thing i do is put on a screen protector. original protective plastic comes off, new protector goes on. I couldn't find my preferred protector (belkin for iPhone) and instead picked up a ZAGG invisible shield. pain to put on and the surface was all wavy. i put it on perfectly, thats just the texture. i called apple and arranged for a return noting that there were two horizontal lines on the screen that looked like dead or strange rows of pixels. only after i arranged the RMA did i think back to a review i read on amazon for this screen protector. there apparently is some problem with the rolling wheels that create the shield and it leaves a micro seam line on the protector. i took the protector off and the lines disappeared. well i'll be. so invisible shield got chucked in the garbage and i got a belikin which is completely crystal clear and looks like the original screen.
that ZAGG is a POS as far as I'm concerned

I just checked a few Apple retail stores in California. All still have them for tomorrow pick up. Make sure you choose an option to reserve and pick up at a retail stoe, NOT to order from online.
