please please stop trying to drum up sales for some supposed "never lock" iPhone. apple unlocked iPhones are your "never lock", just without the extra 200 dollar mark up.

Now phone (with ATT sim inside) has got in General > device info information "Operator ATT 11.0" So does it have simlock or not ?? He payed full price ~800$ with tax for that. We live in Europe and just curious if i will work.... ? Model number is MC921LL 32GB white iP 4S. If I restore this phone will I see again "unlock message"? because I cant remember if there information on first try, he did it alone without me.

The factory unlocked phone should not come with any ATT markings or stickers. Your part number of MC921LL/A is a white AT&T 32GB iPhone 4S. The easiest way to check if it's locked would be to try it out with your European SIM.

You have to reserve one at 9PM to get one the next day. Seeing as it's not 9PM in your area right now, it's safe to say that they have all been reserved.

I am certain people in here posted this from Apple's page a few times. But here ya go: "The unlocked iPhone works only on supported GSM networks, such as AT&T in the U.S. When you travel internationally, you can also use a micro-SIM card from a local GSM carrier."

Return it. It is not a factory unlocked iPhone since it came with at AT&T SIM. It is an AT&T "contract-free" phone, which is supposed to be locked to AT&T. Even if it is somehow unlocked at the moment, AT&T or Apple can re-lock it at any time in the future with a software update. That is what Sprint did to their iPhone 4S. Only buy the factory unlocked iPhone 4S.

All GSM SIM cards will work in the iPhone 4S. You just need to buy a micro-SIM cutter, like this one:

yes ,it worked oversea.
I dont know for sure about Euro,cause im never been there yet.But in Thailand,Singapore,VietNam,it worked with all GSM simcard.

But with me,I used t-mobile with my family plan,and i dont use 3G.
The cost of t-mobile is cheaper than att,and if u use smart phone with att ,you have to pay for internet plan like 15$ 1 month.And i will travel to my country next years. That's why i want an unlocked iphone 4s .

2 years with tmobile 70 buck monthly 2 years = 1680

you save 200 bucks , with no 3G ,

200 bucks you save is cost for that att iphone

so what a different

if you buy unlock phone from apple let say 16 gb 700 bucks
plus 1680 2 year for your tmobile = 2,380 dollars

wow ..... that suck ............
