Hi
I just registered,
I was generally macrumors website as guest and I decided to join the community ..
I have been using Apple devices since 2000 and maybe before that.
I am happy to join the forum and discuss with other members :

Nice to meet you all

Hello all

Switched over to macs roughly 6 month ago from Linux and Windows. During that time I picked up an old Mac Mini (Intel), an old iPad, a relatively new Macbook Air (M2) and finally another Mack Mini (M1). Prior to that I've been using an iPhone XR since 2019 which I upgraded last year to an iPhone 12. As you can see I'm not into the latest and greatest. The cheaper the better is my motto....... :p
I still have a Win 11 (gamer) desktop and a Linux Mint desktop.

Hi all
I've been reading the site for more than 20 years - finally registering!
Started with a the first LC (plus Stylewriter), then Performa 6400. Graduated to a Powerbook G3 (Lombard) with dual boot Ubuntu, followed by the first dual core 24" iMac. Now using a 27" iMac (late 2013) - nearly 11 years and still going strong.
I have installs of all my previous Macs running on Sheepshaver.
First smartphone was the original SE, now on a 13 mini (always the smallest form factor possible).
iPod Classic, then the mini, then the 1st generation touch.
iPad 10th generation.
AirPods Pro was the accessory I never knew I needed.
I confess to owning the cheapest Win laptop I could find at the time, for when a Mac simply isn't appropriate...
Listing all that I hadn't realise how much of a Mac diehard I have been.
See you on the boards!
Philip

Just want to say hi! Have used an iPad and an iPhone for years but just switched to a 13 inch MacBook Pro coming over from many years of windows. I am a hobby photographer on the go, which is why I bought the small MacBook. But I will hook it up to a larger external monitor.

Hello there! I'm a retro Apple fan, I collect PowerPC Macs. I love the aesthetic of the G4 and G5 machines. My favorites are my 20" iMac G4, Power Mac G5 MDD and Power Mac G5. I look forward to joining some discussions!

Hiya all! 👋

I just purchased the M3 Pro MBP 14" (18 GB) & was introduced to this community through my research. Seems like an active & helpful community so I thought I'd pop in & say hi :)

Hi all,
Glad to find this forum is still around! I joined because I’ve been a Mac user since 1991 (SE30). I sold Apple IIs and IIIs once upon a time. My wife and I run a small consulting company almost exclusively on Macs (5 Macs, 2 iPads, 2 iPhones and 2 Watches.)

Dog dad, blogger, 2nd generation colonist on Brant Treaty lands.

Thank you for letting me join the group. I'm somewhat new to this. I had an iPhone when it was first released, and now I'm trying to understand how the whole ecosystem works.

Hi,
First post in this thread of November, it seems
My first iDevice was one of those iPod Nano's in green, and then I adopted both an iPhone 4 and a Late 2010 MBP. Went to the iPhone 6 and the MacBook (12, 2015), and then I got an iPhone 7. Stayed with the 7 until it broke its last legs, with me getting an iPhone 13 Pro Max, and later, a 15 inch MacBook Air. I was reading for the past year or two, and I signed up because I have certain opinions on the 12 inch MacBook and the iPhone 13 PM. I also just want to hang out. See ya! 😄

What's up gamers, been trying to get an iMac G3 working again and there have been some great resources here. I've used Macs from the Tiger era onwards, cool machines. Have had other iDevices along the way.

Hi 🙋‍♀️, I am a new macOS user from 🇦🇺 (was lucky enough to be gifted a MacBook Air this year)! I have been using an iPad and iPhone for a few years (starting with an iPad 2 in 2012, and using Windows desktops since 2001), but wanted to get familiarized with the full OS and see what Apple computers are like. And Apple computers always appealed to me as they are beautiful and functional objects in their own right (unlike utilitarian Windows boxes). The adjustment is a bit difficult for various operations, but I am slowly learning.

Where is the section that allows me to post a question, instead of what I’m doing here now

I am not passionate about Apple News, but for whatever reason, I check MacRumors multiple times a day. And I have for over 15 years. Don't know why. Finally made an account, though. So, hey.
