Is that underwater, by the way? It kind of looks like it...but Snake and the characters don't look like they're underwater (only the stage, itself).
I'm pretty sure Snake is on the ladder of a helicopter for his final smash... It doe look like it's underwater though.

i think come end of the month, this should be labeled the ssbb news thread, and someone making a new thread called 'ssbb gameplay thread' (after valentine's day) where we talk spoiler free (at least to start) about our play, tips, reactions, battling against each other and leagues.

I, too, wouldn't want to be spoiled about any of the secret characters. But I don't think I could resist reading a thread that mentions all the secret characters. I want to know who they are...but at the same time, don't.

on the irc front, i thought about using the macrumors channel (irc.krono.net). i think the channel name should be #ssbb or something. we'll talk to arn about it or something. good idea?
Epic update today. The Challenges screen sounds like a great idea.
I'm liking that. I would love it even more if it was a system-wide feature for all games you play, like the achievement system on 360 but presented in a different way.

Some dev studio needs to come along and make a kind of an Smash Bros update or mini sequel dedicated to the characters who didn't quite make it. Smash Bros B-Stars (oh dear).
okay, nintendo did it. guess what that means. i'm ignoring the game until further notice. it's vaporware to me. hope you guys implement my ideas of the irc channel and such and get a group set up.

I seriously do not understand why a game in this day and age can be released in one territory, but requires an extra two months to reach USA and a further two months or more to reach Europe...
Sony & Microsoft, alongside other developers can bring out games within a week apart in different regions.
Localization issues are BS excuses as like has been said many times before, that happens on an ongoing basis through development, and not just somthing thrown in at the end.
What's more irritating me - is the fact that I'd love to import this - but the Wii is an incredible pain in the ar*e when in comes to playing legitimate import titles on a modded console. If it has a software update on the disc it could brick the console, even if it doesn't there stands a good chance it wont work (take battalion wars 2 for example)...
Nintendo infuriate me at times.
