one more thing, there's an irc channel you may want to check out to meet up with other brawl players outside of macrumors. it's irc.gamesurge.net, and the channel is #smashonline for it.

that's all. see ya opening night (whenever that is).

As to the delay- ARGHHHHH! I'm going to just go die now.

It's not even to add more characters, as the game still comes out in Japan in two weeks.

My brother asher just thought of an awesome unlockable character...

Bomberman!

How cool would that be? :D

I asked the CEO of Hudson's US branch and he said that it would be cool, but Nintendo never approached them about it.

Link looks rather interested...

And to top it all off Brawl got a perfect score from Famitsu. The 7th game ever to get this score.

My cheeks just tingled. There we go it hit the spine now.

F YEAH!!!!!

Did anybody else notice that the release date changed back to Feb 10 for the US website on the side? It was March 9th yesterday.

Edit:
Now the image is back... lol.

I really love the theme song of this game.

Nintendos music selection is one of the best, even SM Galaxy has a fantastic soundtrack, the purple comet theme is my favorite.

Yup, all confirmed and such.

Good to hear it's gotten a great review from Famitsu.

Also, raggedjimmi, :D @ your sig... Brawl needs Red and Blue from Gunstar Heroes, or at least some playable Treasure character!

Today's update is quite a strategic one. I think there should be some kind of sticker match for multiplayer too, like a special mode or something. It seems like too good a thing to waste on single player!

The depth of this game amazes me! Even the stickers serve a function in gameplay, and requires a level of strategy! March 9 cannot come soon enough.

As far as we know, the game could get delayed, again, further past that.... :(

Imagine if they decided to push Brawl to September or October 2008!

I wouldn't be surprised if they held out on it till towards the end of the year since the holdiays have the higest sales numbers. A lot of game companies will hold big title releases till near the holdidays in order to push more units.

Aye, like last year. Pretty dry year until September.

As I've said before I can wait for Smash Bros. I mean I'll have to anyways (Nintendo, meet Europe). But anything later than August and I'll flip :(

As far as we know? Anything could happen as far as we know. Aliens might invade planet earth in 48 hours and we'll never see the game, as far as we know.

Anyway, it will be out in Japan in less than two weeks. I don't see how that would be altered with it being so close (and given that they just barely revised it).

Each time the release date has changed, the change gets progressively smaller. That makes sense, since they are getting closer to being finished. If it isn't March 9, it will be maybe a week later, like the Japanese date.

On March 8th it will be delayed until March 10th.

On March 10th, it'll be delayed to March 12th etc. This happens until summer.

No, the delays get incrementally smaller, remember? So on March 10th, it gets delayed till noon March 10th. Around 11, it gets delayed till 1. Around noon, it gets delayed until 1:30. Around 1, 1:45.

I think we can accurately predict the Brawl release date to be March 10th at 1:56:30 PM, Pacific Time.
