Those dimensions are wrong and so are you with your 1 inch rambling. Mystery solved.

Even the otterbox defender for iPhone 5, which is a thicker device, is less than 3/4" thick.

Show me. Here is the size from best buy. It says 8th of an inch, which to me is an inch.

Elaborate please. Here is a link with the dimensions of the otterbox defender. It is 1.6 inches thick. So yes my 1 inch was being nice to them.

You originally said "1.6 inches" thick. You later said "8th of an inch", which to you somehow equals an inch.... ? An "8th of an inch" is smaller than the phone itself, so perhaps the other user was correct in that you do need to learn how to measure.

Sorry jeanious not an 8th of an inch 8/10 of an inch. Thats s hair away from an inch. Its thick, its ugly, its boring, none of the ports are line up, its expensive, and its expensive. I never said it was 1.6 inches thick. Amazon said its was 1.6 inches thick. You should learn to read.

Amazing. :p

The ports line up fine and it's actually quite slim for the protection it provides.

If the screen issues were corrected it would be an exceptional case. I made it work for me with some modifications. I had to place some padding in the rear plastic so the phone would not move. I also installed a tempered glass screen protector after removing the useless plastic otterbox one.

I agree this is a hassle and a major inconvenience to an already expensive case. To me the quality of the materials used and slimness of the case are worth the work.

8/10" is not a hair away from a inch. It's almost 1/4" away. And like I said before, the case is .61" thick, not even close to .8".

Teenagers should have Otterbox Defenders. I had one for about a week on my 5. You can throw your phone across the room and it just bounces. There's a market for it but it's not me.

Yea it would good for those raging emotions

..yet the 6+ cases still aren't available.

I have an Otterbox for my iPhone 6 which I use for hiking outdoors. I really like it. It's sleeker than the iPhone 5 version and has a nicer look to it.

I am a huge fan of Otterbox but am really disappointed that the 6 plus cases are still not out. I am greatly intrigued by the commuter for the 6 plus but running out of patience.

Well, they offer good protection. But I can't stand them. They're so obnoxious. It's not worth it if I have to stuff my phone in a large plastic tank.
