APPLE STEALING AGAIN!. HOW DARE THEY! RAGE! RAGE! RRAWWRRRR!

To the ramparts good people! Let us rally against the evil juggernaut Apple! How dare they use a concept that had already been used by others in advertising.

Rise support the band?! Who mess are they? People actually have heard of them. OK GO? OK GO what? OK GO shut up. OK GO get real jobs. OK GO stop wasting my time with jibber-jabber.

Who cares that they used someone else's idea and improved on it. Apple produced is a wonderful video that Apple should listen themselves.

To a company I loved once: NOTHING you have released in the last 3 year has improved on anything I already have, made anything I need more accessible, or improved my life in any way, shape, or form...

Maybe that's just me, so say "who cares", but that doesn't change the truth.

No, its definitely just you. You're free to move along to any of the other competing products if you feel they will enrich your life.

These perspective videos have been trending for a while, even by the time OK GO's video came out, which I thought was nothing especially original.

Apple copy something? Never! I won't hear a word of it.

I mean when it's the other way around I care immensely. Say if Samsung copied something Apple did. Then I'd care.

Yours faithfully,
The Macrumors community.

Someone accused apple of something. I won't take a minute to research it to see if it's true. Apple was accused of something! Time to generalize 900,000+ users!

Yours faithfully,

WWDC buddies?

Ok Go played at the WWDC party a few years ago. Everyone was buddy-buddy then, hopefully they can sort this out without more public hysteria.

I have seen this type of optical forced perspective many times, with letters and images. Yeah, its the same idea and what? Is there any harm? The band and Apple operate on completly different fields. The band (which i never heard before) is overreacting...

Whoa, you guys are ridiculous.

So when somebody copies apple " Sue the **** out of them" and when apple steals an idea "good riddance" ?

Seems their lawyers suck

I don't think anyone read the info on Apple's legal pages that states they do not accept ideas submitted by third parties. This is the exact reason why they do not accept or acknowledge ideas or suggestions.

It's not like it's a TV ad, or a product, or a film or music video they're directly profiting from.

They were probably just inspired by it for the video - they wouldn't purposely replicate or rip off a music video for this type of film.

We don't give a damn

"Ok Go" are even lucky a brand like Apple "copied" their video but who cares? Stupid attention seeking hipsters, didn't their mothers give them enough attention, or was attention too mainstream for these as*holes? Plus this is a style of filmmaking, not their trademark and until it is proven in the court of law that they own this style of filmmaking, then all they can do is bitch and moan

"The band is exploring their legal option", what a bad decision, to turn your fans into haters.

Abstract and illusion perspective filming hasn't been invented by you, I'm sorry.

I hope you lose, and all of your subscribers, too.

Not at all. I know there are other types of this video around. I also know what the MR community is like, having been here a very long time. If Samsung went and made a video like this now you'd bet the big complaint would be that they copied Apple.
