OMG...Amazon 20% coupon on NEW Macbook Airs

Well it came from Kansas and right now it's in Dallas Texas which is 4 hours from where I am (Houston). But they don't work on Sunday so that's why I find it hard that it'll be delivered tomorrow

Mine is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, too. I'm in fort worth, and my tracking shows that it left Louisville Kentucky last night At 12:15 am. Although ups delivery drivers don't work Sunday, the packages still move from point to point over the weekend. I think that you'll see your tracking updated in the morning showing that it's out for delivery.

Have faith...I'm in Houston too and I get things that ship all the time on a Sunday from Dallas the next morning. They do work weekends, they just don't deliver on weekends.

Just asking cause i went onto the fedex site to see if i could do a drop off on sunday but the "ship date" box automatically choose monday for me. Wouldn't even let me choose sunday. bummer.

I love it. I had a 13/i7/256 I returned a few days before this one arrived and I do miss a bit of the extra processing power in Photoshop but for the $522 it saved me (taxes + discount) it will do just fine.

Nice... I have a macbook pro with an ssd and a 2nd hard drive in the cd drive I'm just getting the 11nch to carry around school. I hope the high end 11 inch will be good for note taking, web surfing. Nothing too intense

yep- dropbox makes everything seamless. I actually sold my 15 mbp for a dell 15xps for the better screen, WiDi (wish i had it in the air), quadcore, better speakers, and since all my school's exam software (law school and bar exam require windows). I got it as a steal in the outlet for 1k with full upgraded processor, ram ect. though osx is ok (haha), i cannot afford to have any computer glitches test day as my handwriting is horrible!

I don't believe they ship on Sunday but they do ship and deliver on the same day. I'm between Dallas and Austin. I've often been concerned about Monday delivery when I see a package still in Kentucky on Sunday night. Then I see it fly into Austin around 5am, get trucked to Waco around 7am-8am and, boom, it's out on the van for delivery.

I'm sure it works the same way for Houston.

I returned the 13" i7, too when I found this deal. I was willing to pay the price difference when it was $100, but saving $500 made the i7 not worth it. I hope that I don't "imagine" that I'm seeing slower performance. Just keep thinking, "saved 500, saved 500..". I guess it's $400 savings since I bought the kindle, but still, that savings verses the small boost...

As of this year, ExamSoft has been supporting OSX. Some schools have staggered the release, but most states should have allowed it for the July bar exam.

Are you starting off law school now? I have been taking all my test on my Mac in law school which uses the same software as the bar exam. I plan on using my Air for everyday notes but with exams I like the big screen real estate of the 15 MBP. I actually like the software on Mac better because it does not require you to restart before the software loads. If your Mac is having problems with the software create a new user account called Exam and don't have any add ons running in the background (dropbox, littlesnitch, etc).

Y'know, saving over $300 on a laptop that's typically never discounted more than about $50, I'd think y'all could be patient. Particularly given that it wouldn't surprise me if Amazon is barely making any money (Apple margins aren't great, from what I've heard) on the units they're selling.

Yes, I want mine yesterday. But given the savings, even if it's a couple more weeks, I'm not going to complain. I hope it's not, but I realize Amazon's going to get them... when they get them.

And I hope the huge influx of coupon-related calls from the impatient folks doesn't end up ruining things for the folks who got coupons from friends and family, etc.
