I am waiting for Amazon to release the 13/128 model for $1212.49 until 20 Sep, otherwise I prefer to get one from Apple Retail.
The buying page says "Not in stock; order now and we'll deliver when available", can anyone tell me that probably when I will get the machine if I order it right now ?
Do I need to have money in my account right now to place such an order?
 
This is so awesome!! I called yesterday to get the price adjustment for the new $1,212.49 price on the 13/128 and today I got my email:

I just sent an email to Amazon asking if they can adjust my order from the 256GB model to the 128GB model while still keeping my 20% discount. Fingers crossed.
 
Today my AMEX account shows a pending charge of $991.98 for my 13/128/4 from amazon. No changes to the status on my amazon account.

I hope that means shipping soon.:D

I ordered 8/5.. no email from amazon, just went on to chat with customer service (still waiting as I type this, it said 3 minute wait time for online chat).. and I logged in to see my order number, noticed it says "Shipping Soon" ! Didn't get an email though, so fingers crossed.

I'm 13/4/128, ordered 8/5 around 430pm eastern.

Gonna check my CC online next to see if I've been charged yet

update:

So the guy was able to go in and edit the price of the item at which I ordered it.. I saved $18 total.. changed for a few minutes to Not yet shipped, but its' back to Shipping Soon, and I can't change anything like address or payment, so that's good!

Amazon never charges until an item is shipped.

MacConnection is now showing the base 13 in stock and ships today. Clearly the logjam is beginning to break up!

People posting that 13/128s are shipping, can you please provide your original order date/time so we can get an idea of where they're at? Thx.
 
Slickdeals has lots of people with 13/128s ordered on 8/5 shipping. The end of the wait is near!
