Might be not their fault but it’s definitely their problem now. People need confidence that they can access any kind of content on apples platform without problems and now it’s shuttered. Next time they’ll think twice. This and terrible hbo max app will really make people think about using a different platform.Blame itv , not apple
The itv hub app sucks , the Apple TV is awesome
It already is privatized you think they run adverts because we all love to watch them? The British public don’t own ITV as just one example: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ITV_(TV_network)But the Tories keep telling us that privatised TV is the way to go?
Butbutbut - isn’t everything on BBC also on iPlayer, even the Nordic Noir? I mean you can stream the channels live, even if it’s not on catch-up. I thought that was true of Channel 4 as well.
Channel four (which is the current discussion in the UK and the op was referring to) is not privatised and runs adverts. The bbc is paid for via the license, a subscription of sorts. The other channels are free to view and paid for by adverts. Makes no difference who owns them.It already is privatized you think they run adverts because we all love to watch them? Of course it does, don’t be so stupid. Unless it’s owned by the British government/general public, then it’s privatized.Channel four (which is the current discussion in the UK and the op was referring to) is not privatised and runs adverts. First, don’t call me stupid. Second- channel four is owned by the government/general public. Third- look at the news once in a while. It’s all over it.Of course it does, don’t be so stupid. Unless it’s owned by the British government/general public, then it’s privatized.
edit: before you try to get smart, I’m from the U.K.

its 91% privately funded so my original statements stand.First, don’t call me stupid. Second- channel four is owned by the government/general public. Third- look at the news once in a while. It’s all over it.

Channel 4 privatisation – how would it work and who would buy it?
Selling off the publicly owned UK broadcaster could depend on changing its business modelwww.theguardian.com
Mate, it’s owned by the Gov. It’s funded by adverts. Jeez. It’s not a debate just a fact 😂Of course it does, don’t be so stupid. Unless it’s owned by the British government public, then it’s privatized. Yup
its 91% privately funded so my original statements stand.
If you read properly I’m talking about ITV, son, you know the key channel being talked about in this thread 🤦🏼♂️First, don’t call me stupid. Second- channel four is owned by the government/general public. Third- look at the news once in a while. It’s all over it.

EDIT-
Editing your post afterwards doesn’t make you clever.
You said:
“It already is privatized you think they run adverts because we all love to watch them?”
I merely said that running adverts doesn’t constitute to anything regarding the ownership status
Yeah I know- you keep editing your posts to reflect that. That’s not in question. If you read properly I’m talking about ITV, son, you know the key channel being talked about in this thread 🤦🏼♂️
Here is what I said “Of course it does, don’t be so stupid. Unless it’s owned by the British government/general public, then it’s privatized.” That not simple enough for you?Yeah I know- you keep editing your posts to reflect that. That’s not in question.
I’m merely saying that the fact that adverts are shown makes no difference to who owns the channel, and used channel four as the example (as that was what op was referring to (off the cuff by the way) when he said about the tories privatising tv).
Contrary to what you stated before you went off on one and moved all the goalposts, publicly owned tv channels can be privately funded. Channel Four is such an example.
That’s true. Except you said it in response to this:Here is what I said “Of course it does, don’t be so stupid. Unless it’s owned by the British government/general public, then it’s privatized.” That not simple enough for you?
I said in response to that? That’s a quote of you not me!That’s true. Except you said it in response to this:

Channel four is owned by the government, and is publicly funded. So, no - it makes no difference to how it’s funded in relation to who owns it.
Yes. That’s what a response is. I said that, and you responded.I said in response to that? That’s a quote of you not me!
EditI said in response to that? That’s a quote of you not me!
because you are talking about something different to the thread home boy - stay on topic.Yes. That’s what a response is. I said that, and you responded.
It’s gone off topic becuase you’re being obstinate. You know what you said, I merely said you were wrong. Publicly owned tv can be privately funded. That’s all I’m saying, correcting you after you incorrectly stated otherwise.I said in response to that? That’s a quote of you not me!
edit: in fact my response to that drivel I politely reminded you the whole thread here is about ITV and that you are off topic.
No it’s gone off topic because you can’t stay on topic. This thread is about ITV, I replied it’s not public you decided to bring channel 4 into it. Not my fault you can’t read, comprehend and stay on topic. You are blocked because I don’t deal with stupid - peace! It’s gone off topic becuase you’re being obstinate. You know what you said, I merely said you were wrong. Publicly owned tv can be privately funded. That’s all I’m saying, correcting you after you incorrectly stated otherwise.
All the other stuff is you not liking the fact.
