I know it, but it says they are updating, usually it'll say maintenance right?

Haven't really been around long enough to see the "maintenance" message, but seems to me with the way it was acting prior to it going down that they're just having issues.

This is frustrating. I have been a PC my whole life and I decided to finally try an Apple. I have been sitting with no computer waiting for this so called update for two weeks. If nothings happening, it would be nice for them to let the customers know so that people would buy their existing products. I'm so fed up that I think I might save the extra money and just buy a PC again. Screw this. It's not worth it.

You guys r saying they never cane out with new macs without a press conf.. But this year is diff windows 7 is not even a week away so it can b diff this year I guess will c

Hi,
I've been watching over this thread since the first post, and now decided to register.

I've checked a few of the international Apple Stores, and they are all down... so I'm thinking that perhaps something is going on.... not just maintenance.

Do all the stores run off the same server?

Just one q. If the new macs were gettin updated let's say now cuz the store is down why is the mac section of appledotcom up only the store is down

Remember the Saturday Night Live where William Shatner is the guest star and he does a skit where he appears as Capt. Kirk at a Star Trek convention? And he asks one of the "Trekkies" if he has ever kissed a girl? And then tells the rest of the audience that they have taken a little TV show that he did for a few years and turned it into a colossal waste of time?

Store is down with this graphic almost always means product updates.
I think this is it.

I agree this must be at least new keyboards. How long has it been down?

Edit: I went to the MAC tab on apple.com and attempted to purchase a iMac and it sent me to the "we'll be back soon" page!
