Don't get me wrong - I hope I'm terribly wrong, but I'm thinking there won't be anything new.

Somewhere, Old Corpse is sitting in front of his computer having a good laugh at all of us - waiting to pounce.
This time.

(And I don't think there will be anything new today either.)

iMac

Well the 24" iMac I ordered back on Sept 18/09 finally showed up. It got to the reseller on Oct 14. No changes, nothing different at all. So maybe all the hype about upgrades is just that.

my guess and I hope im wrong is:

New mouse

New Keyboard

New :apple:TV software with walk through video

New iMac, minus the refresh design (i hope its a new design)

Possibly also a price-drop of the high-end Mac Mini, and the removal of the low-end Mini.

Has there been any evidence pointing towards a MacBook update apart from the Google ads?

Haven't really been around long enough to see the "maintenance" message, but seems to me with the way it was acting prior to it going down that they're just having issues.

It would be a great surprise if true product updates are made to the store, but, I'm with the above poster thinking that with the way the store was taking forever to load just prior to going down, that they might have had a critical failure on the server side.

Just called the # for USA. Saying I wanted to buy a mac and the site went down so I asked if there is updated macs coming out the lady said it's all a surprise for us and she sounded very giggle and like she wanted to say more but can't she said there is updates going on the store and it will b back in a hr

Customer service people are paid to be giggly.

I know but not the way she was she deff wanted to say more to me she also said that they are exited to see what happens and that she is sorry that appledotcom is down

This is frustrating. I have been a PC my whole life and I decided to finally try an Apple. I have been sitting with no computer waiting for this so called update for two weeks. If nothings happening, it would be nice for them to let the customers know so that people would buy their existing products. I'm so fed up that I think I might save the extra money and just buy a PC again. Screw this. It's not worth it.

I feel with you. Been without pc since aug 1st. But since I've been dreaming of an imac one year now, decided to wait full of burning patience.

Switzerland still down.

I just called telesales about the site being down. No new products, someone just logged in the servers with the guest account by mistake ;-)
